AEW x
Street Fighter Collab. T-Shirts
|
|
From
AEW Champion Kenny
Omega's obsession with video games
and
naming one of his finishers "V-Trigger" after SFV's
mechanic, and
appearing in the Street
Fighter V promo trailer as Mayor Cody Travers... to AEW fans in the
audience well known for holding up video game-themed signs that frequently get
airtime on TBS... Pro-wrestling's AEW already has roots deep in video game
culture. AEW recently announced new Street
Fighter collaboration t-shirts, pitting AEW talent against iconic SF
characters. Even if you wouldn't be caught wearing one of these shirts
in public, you still have to admit they put some good effort into them!
Below are the newly announced t-shirt designs, featuring: Bryan
Danielson Vs. Sagat,
Darby Allen Vs. Dhalsim, and
Britt Baker Vs. Chun-Li.
The
collaboration t-shirts are available on ShopAEW.com
until February 9th, 2022.
|
The
shirts are made by Nerds
Clothing, who previously collaborated with Capcom for other Street
Fighter and Mega Man merch. Each one is priced at $38 USD on
ShopAEW.com. The Daniel Bryan x Dhalsim shirt comes in red, while the
other two shirts (above) come in black. A mighty fine color scheme, I might add.
[UPDATE]
Other AEW x Street Fighter shirt designs include Jon Moxley vs. Guile
and Adam Cole Vs. Ryu,
previously announced at New York Comic-Con '21.
|
For the record, CM Punk also has a shirt out, with him facing off
against Shadaloo's Vega and Balrog. The man went 0-2 in his MMA career,
and lost in an embarrassing fashion both times, but AEW / pro-wrestling fans still love him and
will still buy his t-shirts.
