Guile Revealed for Street
Fighter 6
|
|
The
Summer Game Fest kicked off this afternoon with the very first trailer of
the show being the gameplay reveal of Guile
for Street Fighter 6.
Guile's reveal trailer shows the iconic American hero performing
some of his well-known special moves over the years, as well as some new
normal attacks. Guile even retains his V-Trigger Sonic Boom technique from Street Fighter V,
now a Super Art of his. It's also worth noting that Guile's SF6
appearance is the same as the leaked concept
art we saw last week. Without further ado, watch Guile's Street Fighter 6 gameplay reveal
trailer and continue
scrolling for Guile's Screenshots, Character Artwork, and first details on all
three of his Super Arts!
[UPDATE]
Capcom confirmed Street Fighter 6 characters will have access to
Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Super Arts. Below, read
the first details about each of Guile's Super Arts, which are inspired by
various techniques from his past appearances.
|
-
Sonic
Hurricane (1 Stock)
–
Introduced in Street Fighter Alpha 3, Guile fires a massive aerial
slash directly ahead. If used with a Heavy Punch, the aerial slash
fires diagonally upwards as a good anti-air option. An extremely
versatile move that can be used in combos, to counter projectiles,
or as a way to turn the tables when being pressured.
-
Solid
Puncher (2 Stocks)
– Introduced in Street Fighter V as Guile’s V-Trigger I,
Solid Puncher is now a Super Art. Guile envelops both arms in aerial
slashes and enables the use of Sonic Break, where a flurry of small
Sonic Boom projectiles can be unleashed simply by pressing the punch
buttons.
-
Crossfire
Somersault (3 Stocks)
– A brand new Super Art, Guile puffs his chest and fires a
massive aerial slash that launches the opponent into the air before
following up with a brutal Somersault Kick.

Below, see Guile's official artwork / render and story
courtesy of Capcom's official website. According to Guile's Street
Fighter 6 mini-bio from the site, Guile enjoys being a family man!
(A clever throwback to Guile's original and iconic Street Fighter II
win quote, of course.) The clean version of Guile's artwork can be found
inside TFG's dedicated Art
Gallery for Street Fighter 6.
