Impression: |
It's certainly an exciting time
to be a Capcom fighting game fan... whether you've been an old school arcade
player for decades or you're relatively new to competitive fighting games. Capcom
Fighting Collection 2 is a powerhouse "dream" compilation that
long-time 2D fighting fans have been waiting a very long time for. The star of
the show here is no doubt Capcom Vs. SNK 2 with rollback netcode, a
timeless fan-favorite that could've been re-released on its own. The addition of SFA3:
Upper was also a nice surprise, although I'm disappointed it's not the
latest version released on PSP: SFA3 Max.
Even more impressive is Capcom finally bringing some of their underrated 3D fighting
games into this awesome compilation, including Project Justice, Power Stone 1
and 2, and Plasma Sword. The inclusion of both 2D and 3D fighting
games in single package has never been done before and is a great sign of things
to come! Capcom Fighting Collection 2 packs some of the best fighting
games ever made... and will definitely be a must-buy for most of the community. Stay tuned
on The Fighters Generation for continued coverage and a full
review in 2025!
