BIO:

Jin is the main protagonist of Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness. A traditional Japanese soldier, Jin's father (Ken Saotome) belonged to a unit that was killed in an accident one year before the start of Cyberbots. To honor his father's memory, Jin seeks to become the best VA pilot alive and wants to prove his worth through the VA battle circuit. He begins to question his father's death after meeting SHADE for the first time.

Jin's mood can turn from calm to rage within seconds, but he remains a good guy. Jin is also good friends with Gawaine Murdock. Jin's main mech is BX-02 Blodia. Artist and designer Kinu Nishimura stated that Jin's design is loosely based on Kakugo Hagakure from Apocalypse Zero. In addition to his debut in Cyberbots, Jin has appeared as a playable character in Tech Romancer, Marvel Vs. Capcom, and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2.

Jin Saotome debuted in the obscure robot fighting game, Cyberbots. As the "Ryu" of Cyberbots, he rightfully earned his place in Marvel VS Capcom... which really put his name on the map. Many would say Jin was practically a "nobody" until his epic debut in MVC, where he was given his unique hand-to-hand fighting style (and brilliant 2D sprite), instead of simply piloting his huge mech.

In Marvel VS Capcom, Jin's hot-headed nature is one of the greatest parts of his design... and he's got a badass, hard-hitting fighting style to back it up. His over-exaggerated punches and attacks look amazing in gameplay, and are truly distinctive. Not many other characters come close to punching as hard as Jin. This dude fights with passion. Overall, Jin's moveset is very well-designed, entertaining, and all of his animations are well executed. Jin also has one of the coolest war cries to go along with his intense fighting style.... So much emotion! BLOOODIAAA!!! To top it all off, he's just a cool looking dude. A brilliant and aesthetic design on all levels... and one that Capcom definitely should've used in more fighting games (especially MVC3).
