E.
Honda began his training in Sumo as a child and was determined to become the
greatest sumo wrestler of all time. He eventually achieved the title of "Ozeki".
Honda became upset that the rest of the world did not view sumo wrestling with
the reverence of the Japanese. He entered into the second World Warrior
tournament intent on showing everyone that sumo wrestlers rank among the
greatest fighters in the world.
During the events of Street Fighter Alpha, he was challenged by Sodom to
join Mad Gear. Honda won that fight and declined. Then he left to find
worthy opponents and show the world that sumo is a powerful martial art.
He fought Ryu on one occasion and later told Sakura where she could find
her idol. His four students are Hatonoyama, Marunoumi, Yasuhanada and Nishinofuji.

Besides being the first sumo wrestler to
appear in a fighting game, E. Honda debuted with some incredibly bizarre
(and unique) moves that made him stand out... notably
his flying
headbutt & hundred hand slap. His gravity defying moves definitely turned
heads at arcades, making him an Instant Icon! lol. To state the obvious, E. Honda's
overall fighting style is completely unrealistic & kooky, but nonetheless timeless and memorable.
As for his appearance,
his face paint was always cool, but besides that, he's a pretty standard
looking sumo wrestler... although, his muscular build does set him apart from many other sumo
wrestlers. Honda is ripped!!! :D He's also got a funny personality, I
liked him in Street Fighter: The Animated Movie.
