Gillius Rockhead is a
dwarf that comes from a family of distinguished fighters. His
great-grandfather, Gilius Thunderhead, is the legendary axeman who helped slay
Death Adder. It's not easy living in the shadow of such an ancestor, but
Gillius, too, has perfected axe-battling and has become a renowned warrior. When
news of Death Adder's reappearance reached the town of Guillegun, Gillius
Rockhead was the first to prepare for the war. The people of his town must not
suffer again.

Visually, he's a
fairly typical warrior dwarf... and considering the series, he doesn't need to
look like much more than just that. Worth mentioning, Gillius resembles his Golden
Axe ancestor a bit more than the other two protagonists of Golden Axe:
The Duel (Kain Blade and Milan
Flare). Thankfully, Gillius's interesting moveset makes up a bit for his
arguable "plainness". There are some very unique aspects of his
fighting style, such as his rapid projectiles, super epic knee strike, and
powered-up "rock" form. He's got some badass animations.
Gillius is an example of a straight-forward yet effective design.
