Sogetsu is
a member of the Kazama ninja clan and the brother of Kazuki
and Hazuki. He wields the power of water for his skills. The exact opposite
of Kazuki, he is very calm. When Kazuki left their clan to save Hazuki,
he was ordered to find and kill Kazuki. Sougetsu eventually finds Kazuki
at Amakusa castle. There, he lets Kazuki rescue Hazuki and stays behind
to fight Zankuro. He slays Zankuro

As one half of the
"elemental ninjas" of SS4, Sogetsu's "cooler" appearance and
personality brilliantly contrasts his brother's. For better or worse, Sogetsu is definitely one girly-man of
a ninja, but does that make him a bad character design? Not at all. Visually and personality-wise, he's
actually pretty unique
when compared to many many other fighting game ninjas, and he's definitely badass in his own unique way.
Worth mentioning, Sogetsu's "water blade" is a very unique weapon, as well. The uniqueness of his weapon added something to the series - for those who appreciate small details in fighting games. The only thing I dislike about Sogetsu's design are some of his special moves... which are a bit
"over-the-top" for the series - not to mention cheap as hell. lol. Other than that, Sogetsu was a good design in
SS4. I think he still looks best in 2D, but his return in Samurai Shodown 2019 wasn't bad.
