TEKKEN
8 Launches January 26th, 2024, Six New Characters and "Arcade
Quest" Mode Confirmed

 During
Gamescom '23, Bandai Namco announced TEKKEN
8
will launch January 26th, 2024. The release date trailer
confirmed six returning characters for the upcoming 3D fighter: Yoshimitsu,
Steve Fox, Sergei
Dragunov, Kuma,
Leo
Kliesen, and Shaheen.
A new single-player mode called "Arcade Quest" was also revealed
featuring customizable avatars. During Gamescom, Harada mentioned that
Arcade Quest "focuses on you as a player and covers the arcade
scene". In Arcade Quest, players earn in-game Fight Money to purchase
Avatar and Character Customization items. This new mode also allows
players to connect to online matches, similar to SF6's
Battle Hub. The official release
date trailer (below) also revealed the first character customization items
in TEKKEN 8.
TEKKEN 8 will launch with 32 characters, with 4
additional post-launch DLC characters planned to release in the Year 1
Pass. Twenty-four characters have been revealed for TEKKEN 8 so far, with
eight more reveals coming before launch.
Bandai Namco also announced several
different editions of the game. Here
are promotional images showing the content for TEKKEN 8 Collector's
Edition, Premium Collector's Edition, Ultimate Edition,
Launch Edition,
and Standard Edition. The Collector's and Premium Collector's
Edition come with a Jin
Kazama figurine, the Premium version featuring an
"electrified" light-up version of the figure.

The official website
for TEKKEN 8 was also updated with bios for the six returning
characters who were just announced. TEKKEN
8 releases on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series on
