	Reminder: KOF XV and Samurai Shodown Season 3 Announcements Coming This Week

  

Get ready SNK fans!  The official first look at the latest installment of The King of Fighters series is just a couple of days away. SNK plans to kick off 2021 with a bang, soon to be releasing the world premiere gameplay trailer for The King of Fighters XV this coming Wednesday, January 6th, 2021 (6pm PST / 9pm EST). In the same presentation, SNK also mentioned they will be sharing new details about Samurai Shodown's Season Pass 3 (and possibly showing a character reveal trailer or two). SNK previously confirmed that one of the new characters coming in Season Pass 3 is from SNK's other iconic weapon-based fighting game series, The Last Blade. [UPDATE] Here's a link to the official reveal trailer and screenshots released in TFG's new article!           SNK confirmed that Shun'ei will be the lead protagonist of KOF XV's storyline. Below is the official character announcement trailer featuring commentary from producer Yasuyuki Oda and creative director Eisuke Ogura.   The trailer above also teased rough sketches of Leona Heidern and K' — likely confirming them for KOF XV, as well. These sketches appear in the trailer with a black background.
