	The King of Fighters 15 New Character "Krohnen" and 2nd Open Beta Announced

  

During The Game Awards 2021, SNK released a new trailer for KOF XV revealing a brand new character to the series named "Krohnen". Old school KOF fans will notice Krohnen uses several special moves and animations inspired by KOF 2001's K9999 — whom as you may know was heavily based on Tetsuo from the Akira (1988) animated film (and was eventually removed from the KOF series to avoid a potential lawsuit). In addition to the new character reveal, SNK announced a second open beta test on PS5 and PS4 which will begin on December 17th and run through the 20th. [UPDATE #2] SNK released a second trailer for Krohnen showing story mode footage, combos, and additional gameplay.           2nd Open Beta Dates & Times     The playable roster of the 2nd Open Beta will differ from past betas, but the beta will retain the same number of combatants as before (eight). This time, the 8 playable characters are: Terry Bogard, Ryo Sakazaki, K', Blue Mary, Meitenkun, Isla, Antonov, and Krohnen. [UPDATE #1] Coincidently or not, Arc System Works and Nexon announced an open beta test for Dungeon Fighter Duel the very same weekend as the KOF15 beta. Needless to say, fighting game players planning on participating in both betas will be busy this weekend!
