Carmine's past is
widely unknown, except that he encountered Gordeau at some point. Carmine
senses several In-Birth gathering in the Hollow Night. Deciding that Paradox
is a pain, he goes to fight her. Before he gets to Hilda, he encounters
Gordeau who fights him due to Carmine being a threat. Upon reaching Hilda,
they both jab insults at each other before starting the fight. After she is
defeated, Hilda swears revenge on Carmine whom casually brushes off her
threats. He then feels that there was someone much stronger behind the Altar
and opens it despite Hilda's pleas not to. Upon opening the doors, he sees
that there was no one inside and that the equipment Hilda had was vanishing.
Carmine then leaves, telling Hilda to give the person who ran away a message:
that Carmine would be after him next.

I never thought Freeman
would become such a famed character... both Tsukikage
and Carmine are practically based on him. Nonetheless out of the entire UNIEL
roster, Carmine seemed like one of the most interesting characters to me. Lo and
behold, he does favor Freeman in a variety of ways. Claw attacks... flamboyant
mannerisms... and Carmine's walking forward animation is practically the same
animation as Freeman's. lol. On the flipside,
On the flipside, Carmine's got a ton more projectiles available to him with some
crazy range. The designers seemed to have given Carmine "enough"
unique attacks and special moves to make him come off as pretty original. And
his play-style is pretty badass overall. He's got some
projectiles very reminiscent of Jedah's
or Basara's (two characters I love),
and a variety of neat tricks (including fun rushdown tactics). Personality-wise, he's your typical "hate
everything"... "I'll kill you"... villain. His super move is
actually titled "You Shit! This is the END!" ^o^ Now that's some funny
shit.
