Eileen

BIO:

After losing both of her parents at a young age, she was raised by her grandfather—a "Kou-Ken" martial arts master from China. In addition to her grandfather's training, she perfected her skills with a Beijing opera troupe.

One day, she happened to see a martial arts demonstration by Pai Chan and was amazed and captivated by the beauty and strength of her movements. Since that time, Eileen thinks of little else besides finding a way to approach Pai. To this end, she enters the Fifth World Fighting Tournament to find Pai.

Eileen is one of the first (and only) fighting game characters in a fighting game to authentically represent the "monkey fist" Kung Fu style. I always thought Monkey style was one of the silliest martial arts styles of all time... even moreso than Drunken Kung Fu - which is saying a lot - but Drunken Style is actually more street practical. I'm serious. If you don't understand, drink. . . For some reason, I honestly forget Eileen exists like once a year. Speaking strictly from personal experience, I literally forgot about her several times (and no, I don't have a memory problem, because I remember all of the other VF characters. I just forget about Eileen). Maybe she's really that forgettable as a character? I'm not sure.

Like others from VF, she's convincingly plain. I'll give her some points for her Son Goku-inspired main costume, but when she's not wearing it..... who the f*ck is she again? Lmao. She looks like a random chick at a mall. There's nothing defining about her visually besides that main outfit. To her credit, Eileen's moveset is, of course, impressively fluid and fits into VF very naturally. She's entertaining and has great animations, but the monkey style itself might be the only thing that holds this character back from being legit... besides her plain.... uhh... who is this girl again? It happened again. Also, there are too many E's in her name. (You type her name 175 times and tell me when you're tired of it. Have fun.)
