BIO:

Pai is a leading star in Hong Kong action films. Her moods change as quickly as a cat's - she can erupt in passion in one minute, and turn icy cold in the next. Lau's only daughter, Pai was specially trained by her father in martial arts from a young age. In the original Virtua Fighter, however, while Lau obsessively strove on with his training, Pai's mother worked so hard to support the family that she died of overwork. Her death devastated Pai and she blamed it on Lau; she swore that one day she would beat him. Two years later, she was a success in the movie industry.

After failing to defeat her father several times, Pai eventually learns that Lau has become ill and seeks to find a successor to his school of martial arts. Pai's goal to avenge her mother shifts and she becomes determined to defeat her father in order to gain his acknowledgment as a worthy successor and his daughter.

Don't make any of those broski "she's my cherry pie" jokes... I don't think a classy gal like Pai would appreciate that. A straight-edge, serious female martial artist like Miss Chan would K.O. your typical broski in seconds. Pai is the real deal, and while she doesn't do much talking or show much personality... she's one of the original ass-kicking females of the 3D fighting game genre.

Pai's original appearance was undeniably 'somewhat' inspired by the iconic Chun-Li, but Pai's look and moveset made her a more "human-like" female fighting game character. Pai's based "serious in her martial training" attitude is respectible. Pai's artistically-balanced Chinese fighting style, pretty outfits, and fluid movements defined her from sequel to sequel. In the later VF games, her moveset is especially beautiful in motion. Visually, Pai is easily one of the best-dressed Virtua Fighter characters, as well. I also like the fact that in the first few games, younger Pai dressed pretty formal and was a "reserved" girl... but in the later installments, she started "bringing the sexy" with her more modern outfits! Solid character evolution if you ask me! Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Pai is a dynamic / very fun character to use in Virtua Fighter.
