Batsu is a hot-blooded, foul-mouthed, impulsive
young fighter. Nonetheless, he has a strong sense of justice and a kind heart.
He is often misunderstood due to his forward and rough personality. In Rival Schools: United by Fate, Batsu is a transfer student in Taiyo
High and is searching for his mother. Hinata Wakaba
and Kyosuke Kagami join him on his
search. Batsu eventually finds out that the person responsible is his
long-lost father, Raizo Imawano. His
ending in the game reveals he saves his mother and makes peace with his
father.
In Project Justice, Batsu is hit with accusations that he is
responsible for a new wave of attacks on local schools. The Taiyo High story
illustrates two possible fates for Batsu; either he fights off the allegations
with the help of Pacific High School students, or he disappears for a period
of time until he returns with increased fighting power. The later version of
Batsu is known as "Burning Batsu" (also playable in the game).
