Street Fighter 6 Beta Takeaways / Videos Roundup

Now that the first Street Fighter 6 online beta has concluded, many new players got a chance to try out the game and we now have a plethora of new footage and fresh details to unpack. There's lots of good news, too! Firstly, the majority of players who participated in the beta expressed an overwhelmingly positive opinion of Street Fighter 6 in terms of modes, user interface, netcode, options, and gameplay. In addition to the entertaining online social area, the Battle Hub — chock full of player avatars running around and performing Street Fighter moves — beta participants praised a newly-discovered option enabling both players to opt out of an online match if the connection isn't agreeable.

The series' first venture into character customization — player avatars within Battle Hub — also made an impact with users creating and sharing some ridiculous-looking and/or epic player avatars. But we'll get to that stuff later. To kick things off for this beta video roundup, below are some compilation vids providing a closer look at things like character idle stances, Customize mode, Burnout state animations, all supers, etc.

Directly below is a comprehensive overview of the Street Fighter 6 beta from IGN, as well as Maximilian Dood's beta impressions with snappy 4K quality gameplay. In a second video by Max, he runs through some Street Fighter 6 gameplay nuances and gives his early impressions of the game's Drive Impact mechanic — which some players are calling "overpowered" early on (other players would disagree with that sentiment, of course).

Now for a video from Justin Wong's YouTube channel, where Justin gives his early beta tier list and gameplay impressions. Directly below, also check out a high-damage combo compilation by HiFight, along with some first-run online gameplay and live impressions from pro Street Fighter player, Brian_F.

*Additional Street Fighter 6 beta videos may be added to this article later in the week. Check back for more newly-revealed details and updates.

Capcom hasn't yet confirmed a second online beta for Street Fighter 6, but considering the first one went so well, there's always a chance that Capcom may hold another closed or (better yet) open beta in the near future before the game's 2023 release.
