	Street Fighter 6 Rashid Official Gameplay Reveal Trailer Released, Playable July 24th

  

After showing off a preview of Rashid's official Street Fighter 6 character render on Tuesday, Capcom dropped Rashid's full Gameplay Reveal Trailer Wednesday evening! Rashid of the Turbulent Wind makes his triumphant return to the series with a whirlwind of new acrobatic moves in Street Fighter 6 on Monday, July 24th. After checking out Rashid's reveal trailer below, also take a look at his official full-size HD Character Render (a different render from the one shown yesterday) in addition to Concept Artwork and Screenshots.     Capcom's Andy Wong also shared the first gameplay and storyline details for Rashid via PlayStation.blog. "First appearing in SFV, the charming Rashid returns to the series, searching for a new outlook on life. Having an epiphany, he realizes he wants to find the strongest warriors around the world and record what their meaning of strength looks like. So starts his journey to becoming a vlogger, always carrying around his trusty camera to livestream and capture the spirit of strength."      OFFICIAL BIO: "The Soaring Eagle of the Desert" that fights using parkour. With the wind as his ally, he outfoxes opponents with his high mobility. Born into nobility, he's a carefree but earnest man. Loves video streaming.   Game Director Takayuki Nakayama also had this to say about Rashid's new moveset in Street Fighter 6. "His unique fighting style is characterized by parkour and nimble movements while also utilizing whirlwinds/air currents to trifle with his opponents," said the director. "He has many techniques to attack while moving forward and has a unique Run action that is used from a forward step, giving him plenty of ways to approach his opponents."      The screenshot directly below unveils Rashid's "Outfit 2" which is his classic look from his debut in Street Fighter V. Like all other alternate costumes in Street Fighter 6, players can unlock this costume by maxing out their bonds with Rashid within World Tour mode or by purchasing it in the Shop using Fighter Coins.      Nakayama also mentioned that Rashid's "hair and bangs" were a challenge and took quite a lot of trial and error to get right. The designers aimed to emphasize Rashid's use of wind and parkour, so they went with cloth materials that were thin and fluttering. Since Rashid is a vlogger in SF6, he now has a camera attached to his belt and a smartwatch embedded in his bracelet. Clearly, he still loves gadgets. Capcom announced that Rashid will be playable at this month's San Diego Comic-Con (July 20-23). It's also been confirmed that Rashid will be a legal character to use at EVO 2023. Last but not least, Capcom has released Rashid's official SF6 theme song on YouTube.   Once again, Rashid joins Street Fighter 6 on July 24, 2023 and immediately becomes playable for owners of the Year 1 Character Pass.
