SoulCalibur:
Broken Destiny Now Available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4
|

of the blue, Bandai Namco announced last week that previously PlayStation
Portable-exclusive Soul
Calibur: Broken Destiny is now playable on PlayStation 5 and
PlayStation 4. For those who remember, Broken Destiny was a rather
solid 3D fighter on PSP released in 2009, offering robust modes, character
creation, and God of War's Kratos
as a guest character. While it's thankfully becoming more common nowadays,
it's not too often we get to see a previously handheld-only fighting game
converted to current-gen consoles (with any sort of upgrade, nonetheless).
Now available for download in the PlayStation Store, SoulCalibur: Broken
Destiny was enhanced with up-rendered visuals and new features such as
rewinding, quick save, and custom video features.
While it's great to see SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny made available
on platforms other than PSP, the game unfortunately does not support
multiplayer / local versus. Additionally, some of the conditions for
unlocking customizations have changed and players cannot obtain certain
"Honors" that they could in the PSP version. However, Gauntlet
Mode and the Character Customization mode of Broken Destiny is
intact, featuring even more customization parts than SoulCalibur
IV.
