Riot Games League of Legends 2.5D Fighting Game First Look, First Gameplay

The highly-anticipated Riot Games fighting game project has finally been unveiled. First announced back in August at EVO '19, Riot has finally shed some light on their mysterious 2.5D fighting game in development... currently titled "Project L". In their 10th Anniversary YouTube video, Riot published the first ever gameplay and details about their upcoming League of Legends themed fighter. Details are scarce at the moment, but early gameplay confirms playable characters: Darius (Male axe user), Ahri (female mage), and a blue-haired female gunslinger. It also appears the 2D weapon-based fighter will feature some sort of "parry" or "just defend" system. First gameplay footage begins at 3:26 in the video (below).  [UPDATE]  New screenshots added.

Following the today's reveal, Riot stated in the video they will be "going quiet" about the project for a while... as there is still a lot of work to be done on the title. That said, we probably shouldn't expect any further news on Project L until sometime next year.

The studio behind Project L (Radiant Entertainment) previously worked on the (now cancelled) 2.5D fighting game project / experiment, Rising Thunder (2015).
