Falke is a
staff-wielding fighter nicknamed "The Guardian Hawk". She was
heavily experimented on by Shadaloo and was forced to train day in, day out to
achieve perfection. Falke has the unique ability to infuse Psycho Power into
objects and release it through them, mainly through her staff, which she named
Harmony. She was built to be an alternative clone for
M.
Bison.
Years of harsh training went by, causing Falke to spiral deep into despair,
wishing for it all to end. Finally, Ed came to her rescue and they both were
able to escape Shadaloo. Now, the two have a sibling-like bond and are
searching for others like them in need of help.

In my opinion, a Street Fighter character design should be good enough to "stand on their own". There have to be some compelling aspects of their design, as a fighter... Right? Falke comes close in some ways... but
doesn't quite deliver the goods if you ask me.
Falke resembles a Shadaloo doll
(a previously successful
Capcom design, as
Juli and
Juni were great in SFA3). However, Falke fails to be compelling IMO. Green makeup and lipstick? Trying too hard. Meh. If she had an amazing moveset, her plain-ish appearance might be forgivable, but her animations are
hit or miss at best. Many of her attacks make her look
"lazy," as if she's playing around. No authentic martial arts to see here. Falke literally looks like a little kid playing with a toy bo staff that shoots "pew pew" magical projectiles. Weee. Is this Street Fighter or a shooter game? (She'd be a good Smash Bros. character.) Lastly, her Critical Art is cringingly boring. All that spinning
into the air for a generic "bop on the
head"? Wat? Her projectile game is gimmicky
enough to pass for a SFV newcomer, but I miss the days when SF characters used to be... Street. Fighters.
