Yu Narukami is
the main protagonist of Persona 4. The young man who ended the case
that rocked Inaba returns for the holidays, only to find a new mystery in the
P-1 Grand Prix tournament. With his katana and Persona, Izanagi, he can hold
his own in all aspects.
Yu is depicted as being a distant but otherwise friendly loner with a
pessimistic outlook on life due to having to move frequently as a result of
his parents' demanding careers.

Visually, Yu is a
simple & straight-forward design, and is generally appealing... definitely a good thing for
the hero of a
series. I can see a lot of similarities between him and other "fighting
game" / "anime" heroes that came before him... to name a few: Kyo
Kusanagi and Light Yagami. His
calm & cool attitude is also likeable, which also works very well as
the controllable character in the Persona 4 RPG. His outfit is somewhat
simple, but nonetheless stylish and defines the setting of Persona 4.
Japanese people just know how to dress. ;)
