Makoto is a Military Academy classmate and one of Noel's best friends. She is quite hyperactive and has a short attention span, though she has proven to be rather cunning when she needs to be. She is outgoing, adventurous, and has inhuman reflexes as well incredible strength, able to make an impact crater in Carl's storyline and her Astral Heat involves her punching an opponent skyward, leaving an imprint of her fist in the moon before it splits apart. She has a few complexes about her race, but nonetheless, acknowledges who she is and is proud of it.

In BlazBlue Continuum Shift, Makoto works for The NOL Intelligence Department with Hazama, but is actually a spy for Sector Seven. In the True Ending, she defects from the NOL after finding out what happened and leaves with Noel and Iron Tager. She went to the NOL academy with Jin, Carl, Noel, and Tsubaki.

Cool... Chipmunk-Girl. I wasn't expecting that, BlazBlue. Chipmunks are awesome little creatures. Anywho, Makoto is an interesting yet strange "animal-inspired" fighting game girl to add to the long list. In case you lost track somewhere, we have a cat-girl, bat-girl, bunny-girl, bee-girl, dog-girl, (probably more I'm forgetting), and now... chipmunk-girl (or squirrel-girl if you prefer). Some people say she's a squirrel, but she has the markings of a chipmunk on her tail.

In my opinion, Makoto's visual design is overly sexualized. She dresses like a stripper. But hey, some people don't like to wear cloths, so I'm not judging. Looks like she really "lets herself go" when she's not wearing her school uniform. She what suppression does? lol. Anyhow, her over-sexualization doesn't really "ruin" the design. Makoto's martial arts / tonfa-based fighting style and animations are definitely cool and enjoyable. I like the fact that she throws actual punches - which is something that not all BlazBlue characters seem to know how to do. You also gotta love the way Makoto uses her tail when she fights!
