BIO:

Janet is originally from Virtua Cop 2. She appears as  a secret unlockable character in Fighters Megamix. In Fighters Megamix, she has the same fighting style as Aoi Umenokouji (from Virtua Fighter 3). Her stage, Virtua City, is based upon the first stage from the original Virtua Cop.

I was always pretty decent at those Virtua Cop games... I was actually really good at them. Hahaha. Funny thing is, I didn't particularly remember this chick in the series when I first saw her in Fighters Megamix... though I recognized the outfit immediately.

It kinda sucks she stole all of Aoi's moves, but in a way, Aoi's fighting style is pretty cool... and it kinda works for Janet. Janet is also the first Sega fighting game character to pull out a fun and shoot her opponent. lol. That's kinda messed up actually, Janet. We got a BAD COP right here! :(

Nonetheless, it would've been better if Sega bothered to give Janet an original fighting style. A few years later we got Jill Valentine in MVC2, which kinda makes up for it. Because... y'know. Resident Evil is basically Capcom's Virtua Cop. It's pretty much the same thing. ;)
