Ran Hibiki

BIO:

Ran is editor in chief of Taiyo High's newspaper. Although she's still a freshman, Ran has already earned a reputation in Taiyo High as the resident "Scoop Girl", due to the fact that she is always on the hunt for the latest gossip, juicy story, or anything that sparks her interest. She is a spirited girl, almost as hot-blooded as upperclassman Batsu Ichimonji and her gym teacher Hayato Nekketsu. She has a strong desire to succeed, and always goes for the gold.

In
Rival Schools: Nekketsu Seishun Nikki 2, she investigates the kidnappings and disappearances, seeking to scoop an exclusive news story. In truth, she decided to embark on this mission for a personal agenda: to win a very influential prize, Taiyo High's First Prize Scoop. In Project Justice, she works with the Chairperson and students from Pacific High School to find the ones responsible for creating havoc between the schools.

Ran is one of Capcom's most hilarious characters and one of Rival Schools' finest. She's also the first fighting game character to use a camera as a weapon, so she gets a immediate originality points for sure. Frank West, you're just a copycat. Late to the party! Ran is such a quirky and silly character, showing off the in-your-face charisma and humor of Project Justice. Photography club girl has ridiculously cute animations that capture her personality!

The absurdness of her combos using her long-range camera (instant projectile) move makes her a hilarious character to watch and play as. Her super move version of her camera projectile is even funnier, she's practically breaking the third wall when she's breaking the game's combo system with her long range supers and sick combos. lol. Ran brings a hilariously entertaining (and somehow cool?) fighting style that no other fighting game has. On a side note: Gotta wonder if she's related to Dan Hibiki... Ran and Dan separated at birth. And they're both clowns. Coincidence? I think not. Brother and sister confirmed.

FUN FACT: Ran's Card Fighters Clash action card "Best Shot" (above) is very useful in the game, so you see it quite often if you play competitively. I always have 3 of her cards in my deck. ;)
