Necro used to be
a normal boy named Illia who lived in a small village in Moscow. He set out to
search for a better life, and encountered Gill
and his organization, the Illuminati. Illia was promised a better life but Gill
tricked him into becoming an experiment. Illia's body and DNA was altered,
enabling him to stretch his limbs and produce electricity from his body. He
gained these powers at the cost of leaving him looking like a mutant. A
cybernetic computer was implanted into his brain that also enhanced his fighting
abilities.
 
Illia, now named Necro, entered the third Street Fighter tournament. Inside, he
saw the tournament as a way reclaim his freedom and get revenge on Gill.
However, Necro was tricked again, as Gill left him trapped and tied up in the
base that was about to self-destruct. However, Necro's companion Effie managed
to save him and they managed to escape. After their escape they had their first
