BIO:

Cyrax, Lin Kuei unit number LK-4D4, is a cybernetic ninja. He is the second of three cybernetic ninjas created by the Lin Kuei before it was disbanded. Like Sektor, Cyrax was originally a Lin Kuei assassin who allowed his humanity to be stripped away from him out of loyalty to the Lin Kuei.

The fact that Cyrax can throw cybernetic nets & drop bombs out of his chest gave him some instant coolness points & originality points when he debuted in MK3. If you ask me, he was one of the better MK3 designs... and he had to be, since he unapologetically "replaced" Scorpion in that game. Cyrax obviously shared many attributes of Scorpion at the time of his debut (stance, play-style, coloring, etc), which even might've made some hardcore Scorpion fans a bit salty in vanilla MK3 since old Scorp went missing in that game.

Cyrax's later appearances during the "3D era" of MK weren't nearly as cool as his debut, but NRS finally did him right in MK9. Thanks to MK9's story mode, Cyrax was fleshed out nicely as a design. Human Cyrax is pretty cool!
