Amingo

BIO:

Amingo is a humanoid plant on a quest to find a wind that is sweeping across his land and destroying any plant life that it happens to come into contact with. Amingo's race of "Man-Plants" are characterized by their cheerful and gentle demeanor. Amingo can reshape his entire body into several forms for some of his attacks using a plant theme. He can also plant and sprout smaller, child like versions of himself. It is rumored that Amingo was originally planned for a canceled Capcom game, or perhaps a rejected Darkstalkers design like Ruby Heart (although this is unconfirmed).

Although he doesn't make much sense as a design or really "fit" into the only fighting game he ever appeared in, Amingo is an interesting (and underrated) "WTF type" character from Capcom. His design doesn't exactly scream "cool" (especially when compared to the majority of MVC2's cast), but Amingo has a few likeable aspects to him if you're open-minded. I mean, what's not to like about a chubby, living, breathing Mexican cactus with eyes... whom also plays guitar in his spare time? ^o^ In MVC2, he's a very underused character (and it wouldn't be surprising for some to forget he even exists).

I think one of the artists at Capcom may have smoked a bit too much weed during the creation process of Amingo. However, many of Amingo's moves & animations are quite clever and  entertaining at the very least. He's definitely one of the funniest and perhaps most entertaining characters of MVC2. Lastly, major props to you if you can actually use him effectively in MVC2!
