Riot Games Announces Project L Features 2-Vs-2 Duo Gameplay, Playable at EVO 2023

  

Riot Games dropped fresh details on their in-development 2D fighter based on the League of Legends series. The developer confirmed Project L will not only feature 2-vs-2 "tag team" style gameplay in the traditional sense (2 players), but also features "Duo Play", enabling 4 players to join the fun at once. Other match options in Project L include 1-vs-1 and 1-vs-2 gameplay. Today, Riot Games released a new Project L Dev Diary video (below) in addition to some brand new gameplay footage of their upcoming 2D fighter.
   

 
 
Additionally, Riot Games confirmed Ekko, Ahri, and Darius will appear in the playable demo coming to EVO 2023. The fourth and final playable champion appearing in the EVO '23 demo will be revealed before EVO. Below, take a look at the official Project L demo artwork featuring the playable characters.
 

 

 
[UPDATE] Yasuo was confirmed as the fourth and final playable character of the EVO 2023 build. Additionally, Riot Games released Movelists for all four playable characters in addition to a Universal Mechanics guide (below).
