Rera

BIO:

After trying to look for her missing father one day, Nakoruru encountered a bear. The bear was fierce, having survived many encounters with human hunters, and tried to kill Nakoruru. She failed in trying to persuade the bear to calm down, and the bear knocked her out. While in suspended consciousness, her frustrated darker side came alive, disgusted with Nakoruru's pacifism. This darker side, known as Rera, took over, and killed the bear. That point on, Nakoruru, under Rera, pledged to have no mercy for any living thing that held her back from finding out what happened to her father.

The "dark Nakoruru" concept has actually been around since SS2, but the design was never fleshed out as an original design until SS5. I don't know why SNK decided they needed yet another Nakoruru clone (besides Rimururu) in the game... but I guess it's pretty cool that they finally fleshed out "Emo Nakoruru"... lol. Haohmaru indirectly got his "evil version" in Rasetsumaru, so being the main female heroine of Samurai Shodown, I suppose Nakoruru deserves an evil version as well. Rera is pretty cool after all, especially in how she fights with her evil wolf friend. Even though she's a clone design at heart, Rera ended up being a pretty natural fit for the series, and a fun "alternate version" of Nakoruru to use.

Fun fact: Rera's fighting style on "wolfback" was the inspiration for Nazuna from Arcana Heart.
