Young Joseph Joestar was the main protagonist JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Part 2, back when he was a young man. In the third chapter of the manga, which the Capcom fighting game is based on, Joseph appears as an old man who steps out of the spotlight for his grandson Jotaro. Despite being in his seventies, his mystical Hamon Energy keeps him looking about 20 years younger. He has tons of experience from years of fighting and seems to know what losing villains will say right before they do ("You're going to ask me not to do this." "Don't do this!").
His stand is the Hermit Purple which is a series of thorny, purple vines that has the odd power of giving him hints on his quests. For instance, when looking for Dio, he chopped a camera in half and pulled out a photo of Dio from that moment. Joseph is the leader of the heroes on their quest to destroy the evil Dio. There's also a special version of him where you play as his younger self. "Young Joseph" also appears in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future as a secret playable character, as well as being a regular selectible character in JJBA: All-Star Battle and All-Star Battle R.

Besides looking a lot like Sean Connery from Indiana Jones, "old" Joseph Joestar is a pretty ordinary yet effective and memorable design in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. His plain-ish appearance nicely contrasts some of the other more "vibrant" and/or crazy-looking designs. This old dude is easily likeable. If you follow the story, Joseph also has plently of humorous and badass moments (in both his older and younger years).

In the first JJBA fighting game, old Joseph's moveset and animations were pretty great... no doubt he also has one of the funniest running animations in fighting game history. lol. Joseph's epic return in JJBA: All-Star Battle was also very well done.
