Capcom
has revealed even more "rejected" character costume concept art
on their CFN Portal. This time, we get to check out some "superhero
and supervillain" themed costumes for Ryu, Guile, Karin, R. Mika, M.
Bison, Birdie & Dhalsim. Thanks yet again to MajinTenshinhan from
Eventhubs for translating the costumes' official descriptions from Capcom.
RYU
- "HADOU BURST"
He
shoots energy called "Hadou" from his hands. He's
stubborn, but with a strong sense of justice. He battles the
evil organization "Dark Shadaloo!" He was raised
by a hermit named GO-KEN. |
GUILE - "ATOMIC
HURRICANE"
No
information from CFN Portal currently available. |
KARIN - "KANZUKI
DYNAMIC
Ω9"
She's
a genius scholar who developed a power suit which lets her
battle even in the depths of space. She can also fly. This
is the 9th version of the suit, and its attack power has
increased considerably. She and her rival keep fighting over
who has the better power suit. |
R. MIKA - "RAINBOW
HIP"
She's
easily elated, a real mood maker. Her special move is her
rainbow-colored beam, the "Paradise Storm". She's
quite emotional, and Atomic Hurricane often makes fun of her
for crying. She was rescued by a superhuman called
"Crimson Cyclone" in her youth. |
M. BISON - "PSYCHO SHADOW"
The
leader of the evil organization "Dark Shadaloo".
He aims for world domination. He used to be a good man, but
something happened to change him completely.
He defeats his opponents with his fearsome "Psycho
Power". He has underlings at his side, such as the
poison-wielding "Dr. 2", the unusually cruel
"Flash Claw" and the ferociously strong monster
"Dirty Bull". |
BIRDIE - "BULL
STAR"
He's
a superhuman who's in very low rank at the evil organization
"Dark Shadaloo". He likes eating and money. He has
a very weak sense of loyalty. He becomes very selfish once
he's hungry. |
DHALSIM - "WONDER
Y-O-G-A"
A
strange life form who suddenly appeared from space. He can
float in the air and teleport. Is he an enemy?! Or an ally?! |

this in Street Fighter X Tekken, too, you know? Panda
costume." |
NASH
- "ASSASSIN"
Capcom's
Comment: "Nash is enveloped with an empowering armor.
That looks hard... He's also equipped with a sword on his
back." |
VEGA
- "CIVILIAN CLOTHS"
Capcom's
Comment: "He was actually going to change into these
clothes at the end of the General Story, originally.
"Vega has a pretty thuggish suit, so this is a nice
contrast to his." |
ZANGIEF
- "CIVILIAN CLOTHS"
Capcom's
Comment: "He's perfectly prepared for the cold. How
cool. He actually seems much weirder now that less skin is
exposed..." |
R. MIKA -
"ARMAGEDDON YOKO"
Capcom's
Comment: "This is nice. She's cosplaying her own demon
coach. She just went and took those clothes without asking,
so she's going to really get it later..." |
ALEX -
"SWIMSUIT"
Capcom's
Comment: "That floating ring looks like it'd be
extremely in the way during battle. "... Wait, can Alex
not swim? Alex... Please make sure you do your squats to
warm up before getting in the water." |

✔ As
usual, we'll update the article with additional concept art if Capcom
releases any more this week. And
remember you can check out ALL previously released artwork
in TFG's Street Fighter V concept
art gallery.
