After the UNIST finals at EVO 2019, French Bread officially announced an update to their flagship 2D fighter, Under Night In-Birth: EXE Late[cl-r]. They also debuted a
gameplay trailer for Londrekia, the first new character set to appear in the new version. Known as "The Frozen Fang of Eternity", Londrekia brings a wide variety of ice attacks to freeze opponents in their tracks. Under Night In-Birth: EXE Late[cl-r] will add "over 1000" balance changes and new moves for returning characters.
Aksys Games founder and CEO Akibo Shieh stated, "The 2D fighting community has been incredibly supportive, and we are as excited about this new chapter in the Under Night In-Birth series as they are. With the introduction of a new character, the entire game has been carefully rebalanced and
perfected for the greatest possible anime fighting experience to date."
Back in May 2019, ratings for a PlayStation 4 and Switch version of the title were leaked in Taiwan. TFG will keep you up to date on further release date announcements.
