Capcom, Bandai Namco & Others Stand in Solidarity with Black Lives Matter Movement

We in the FGC are lucky. The fighting game community was born out of diversity. Fighting games began in public arcades in the 80's and early 90's with people of all races and cultures coming together to enjoy a fighting game, literally standing beside one another. Right now, during these troubling times, the Black community needs everyone in the world to stand beside them to fight against systemic racism and police brutality. Today, Capcom and Bandai Namco released official statements on Twitter, standing in solidarity with the Black community around the world.

Square Enix has donated $250,000 to support the Black Lives Matter organization, and other charities, in the effort to help combat racial injustice.

As you've probably heard, Sony postponed their PS5 reveal event originally planned for this week and also made a powerful statement.

The Fighters Generation stands beside those who fight for equality and unity, peacefully. There is no room for racism in the FGC, the gaming community, or anywhere else.  ~TFG Webmaster | Frank Joseph
