A legendary,
controversial, but very memorable JoJo's Bizarre Adventure character...
Rudol Von Stroheim has an early connection to fighting games. Not only did Guile's
design take inspiration from Rudol's hairstyle, but the irony of Stroheim being
a Nazi and Guile being an American hero is intentional on Capcom's part.
As a character design himself, Stroheim is a bat-shit-crazy villain type who
adds quite a lot to the second part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. To that
point, he was probably one of the most compelling characters revealed in the
series so far. Some of Stroheim's crazy signature moves (and his overall design)
also influenced the likes of Brocken
from World Heroes. After influencing several characters in 90s fighting
games, Stroheim finally made is fighting game debut in 2023.
