Bonus-kun
first appeared as a sub-boss in Galaxy Fight and later appeared in Waku
Waku 7. Bonus-kun was a punching bag from the Punching Bag Planet that
sought to be a fighter. He wears a red head band given to him by his tribe of
warriors. He traveled through space trying to fulfill his dream, when he met
the martial arts master Rouwe. Rouwe agreed to teach him martial arts, on the
condition Bonus-kun served as his punching bag. Bonus-kun agreed, and after
learning martial arts, he travels through space (and time, apparently) trying
to hone his skills. Bonus-kun's design parodies Ryu
from Street Fighter. In addition to visual and special move references,
Bonus-kun's theme song even has a similar tempo and melody to Ryu's.

For the record...
Ryu does not find this parody of him amusing (frowny face). But you know what
they say: Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
The fact that this character design even exists is... something else. The fact
that Bonus-kun appears in not one but TWO fighting games, is even crazier.
Sunsoft created some very weird and wacky 2D fighting games in the 90s! How does
one rate a character like this?
