Long
grew up in a big steel city, under a rigorous martial arts training. During
the day, he’s a popular martial arts movie star; but his nights are
dedicated to fighting evil. Considered a descendant of the creator of Jeet Kun
Do, Long has not yet learned that he is in fact a literal clone of Bruce Lee.
But like it happened to the original, a new tragedy could be on his way...

Hmm... Long sure sounds a lot like LAWNG. Just like those who came
before him (such as Marshall Law, Fei
Long & Dragon), Long is an
awesome homage to the late Bruce Lee. Since Xuan
Dou Zhi Wang is a proudly-made Chinese fighting game, it only seems appropriate
for a proper Bruce Lee tribute to appear in the game. One thing's for sure, the animators did an
amazing job
with Long's moveset... Long definitely looks and moves closely to the martial arts legend, and even pulls out
nunchakus during gameplay and goes to town! Wataaah!
Normally, I would probably scoff at a design that looks so similar to others we've seen
before in the fighting genre... but if you see the animation quality (and the ART!), you'd agree that a lot of heart went into this design (much more than some other fighting game Bruce Lee clones, at that). Also worth mentioning, like TEKKEN's Law, Long actually has a variety
of alternate outfits... which are pretty cool. At the end of the day, a design like this should be
judged more on "tribute" than being a 100% "original"
design. And pound for pound... although he's definitely the least well-known, Long is actually one of the best fighting game
tributes to Bruce Lee, if you ask me.
