Honda Tadakatsu is a loyal retainer of Tokugawa Ieyasu, and considered his best fighter. He is named after a Japanese general (and later a daimyo) of the late Sengoku through early Edo period, who served Tokugawa Ieyasu. Honda Tadakatsu was one of the Tokugawa Four Heavenly Kings. His intro sequences take inspiration from Gundam-style "launch sequences". Because of this, fans have given him the nickname "Hondam".
