The man known as
"Ten Count" is an assassin for the
Organization. His name derives from the fact that he counts down from ten
when pursuing his targets, giving them a head start, before he chases them
down and kills them. He participates in the third Toshinden tournament.
His physical appearance is
based on Michael Jackson from his music video for Smooth Criminal. Ten
Count also exhibits some of Michael Jackson's signature characteristics, including moonwalking,
performing the "zombie walk" from Thriller as a secret easter-egg,
making high-pitched whoops while executing certain attacks and grabbing
his crotch to taunt.

Indeed, Ten Count
is the first (and only) Michael Jackson impersonator in the fighting game
universe. Retrospectively, Michael Jackson's Smooth
Criminal was pretty badass for back in the day (also one of my favorite music videos when I was a
little kid), and Ten Count's get-up closely resembles one of Michael's most
famous outfits.
While some might cry "rip-off"... I think of Ten Count as more of a
cool humage to the late Michael Jackson, much like Marshall
Law is to Bruce Lee, and so on. Ten Count is cool character who also might
supply some light comic relief to the game... and I think that was the overall
goal with this design. In any case, I think he's one of the most interesting
characters of Toshinden 3, and reason enough to try out the game if you haven't.
