Super-Skrull hails from the Skrull homeworld of Tarnax IV, which has since been destroyed by Galactus. The Skrull Emperor Dorrek wanted revenge against the Fantastic Four, who thwarted the Empire's attempt to invade Earth. Dorrek handpicked the warrior Kl'rt, who was artificially augmented and given the combined abilities of the Fantastic Four. 

Kl'rt's power levels, however, exceeded the originals... he became stronger than The Thing; superior flight and greater pyrokinetic ability to the Human Torch; better control of invisibility and telekinesis than Susan Richards; and an ability to stretch beyond that of Mr. Fantastic. The newly-named "Super-Skrull" also retained his innate Skrullian shapeshifting abilities and strong hypnotic skills. He was then dispatched to Earth to defeat the Fantastic Four and pave the way for a renewed invasion by the Skrull Empire.

Super-Skrull is a classic and charismatic Marvel villain. In my opinion, he's also a better choice than having any of the Fantastic 4 in MVC3. :) Super-Skrull used to be a villain I didn't really care about in the Marvel universe, but after Capcom got their hands on him, I have a new respect for the design. Leave it to Capcom to bring back a classic villain and make him awesome again. Skrull is surprisingly one of my favorite characters to use in MVC3.  His powers are represented very accurately and cleverly in his MVC3 moveset. I must say he's a well-put-together 2D fighting game character... and perfect for the game. The way he combines and uses the Fantastic 4's powers in his own way is nothing short of badass. His evil persona also shows through in every ounce of his MVC3 incarnation... his mannerisms and quotes are 120% villain. I do love bad guys.  >:}
