At his very best, Meat was
an entertaining "joke" character in MK4/Gold. He seemed thrown in
as a last-minute secret character (since the character model already existed for Fatalities)... and to his credit, Meat was worth a few laughs in MK4. Why Midway decided to bring him back in MK: Armageddon, wearing underwear, is another discussion entirely.
They didn't
put much thought into his MKA redesign (or moveset), making his inclusion in MK:
Armageddon seem painfully cheap and forced (like most of the roster). While Meat being a part of Armageddon's roster is more of a novelty than anything else, at least the devs get some credit for being as comprehensive as humanly possible. Too
bad the game completely sucked. Meat appearing in Armageddon right alongside other prominent
MK names helped give that game the low-budget vibe that it
seemed to be going for. "Grraaadededededaaaah!"
Brilliant design, Midway. No wonder you went bankrupt.
