Core-A-Gaming's Video Analysis on The Difference Between 2D and 3D Fighting Games

For those of us who've been playing both 2D and 3D fighting games for many years, the contrasting differences of each style of game is part of what makes each title so charming and unique. In Core-A-Gaming's latest video, many of these subtle differences are explained. The 9-minute video zeros in on the great depth of 3D fighting games like TEKKEN, which casual or "2D-only" players may not even be aware of. They also touch on TEKKEN 7's innovation in adding 2D-style characters like Akuma and Geese Howard into the 3D engine. The video also covers the humble beginnings of 3D fighting games and the dramatic evolution over the years.

Kudos to Core-A-Gaming for creating such a well made video. It's also worth noting that 3D fighting games are seeing a resurgence in popularity as of late, with TEKKEN 7 headlining at most major fighting game tournaments and Soul Calibur 6 on the horizon!
