Street Fighter: Duel High-Res Character Artwork

First off, Happy New Year 2021 and welcome to TFG's first article of the year. Last year, we posted an article all about Street Fighter: Duel an upcoming mobile RPG spin-off of Capcom's timeless franchise in development by Tencent, Topjoy and Capcom. The game recently launched a beta version (China only) on November 26th, 2020. Street Fighter: Duel was originally announced with a main visual resembling Persona 5's main menu, but the game's art style has since changed quite dramatically featuring cool 2D sprites (in-game) and modernized designs of some series icons donning new Chinese Hip Hop-inspired threads.

Old school Street Fighter fans might remember one of the reoccurring gripes to come from late 90's gamers was that the characters (allegedly) "didn't change their outfits" or appearances very much over the years. Well... Street Fighter: Duel has you guys covered here in 2021 with members from the original Street Fighter 2 cast looking pretty fresh.

While these new outfits may have too much drip for some to handle, these modern designs of 30+ year old characters are still cool to see. Without further ado, scroll down to see all of the newly released Street Fighter: Duel character illustrations drawn by Xin Wang, featuring: Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Chun-Li, Cammy, Vega, M. Bison, Blanka, Honda, Dhalsim, and Jay Chou — a real life Taiwanese singer and songwriter who makes a guest appearance in the game.

There are other playable fighters in SF:Duel besides the ones shown above, including: Juri, Sakura, Cody, Hugo, and Decapre. So check back in the future... as we'll likely be posting even more character art from this series (and possibly 2D sprites). To learn more about SF: Duel's gameplay and system, check out TFG's previous article. Keep it here on The Fighters Generation for more Street Fighter series news coming in 2021.
