Capcom Cup February 2021 Event Canceled, Now Online

Due to the worsening state of COVID-19, it's no surprise that Capcom made the decision to cancel their Capcom Cup 2020 finale and Street Fighter League World Championship, a live event that was planned to take place in the Dominican Republic on February 19th - 21st. In their official statement on Twitter, Capcom said they strongly believed they could've put on a safe event with limited risk to attending players, but decided to change plans due to the rising spread of the global pandemic. Instead of a live event, Capcom announced they will be producing an online Season Final to highlight the best SFV players of the season. All players who won an online premier are invited to participate in the final. The official tweet from Capcom Fighters is below.

On the subject of Street Fighter V Season 5 announcements, it's possible Capcom had / has something new to share during the event. Dan Hibiki is scheduled to join Season 5 in February 2021, and we have yet to see any gameplay of the other Season 5 characters: Akira Kazama, Rose, and Oro. Tune in February 20th - 21st for Capcom's online event and stay tuned for further announcements!

Street Fighter: Duel Character Illustrations

Happy New Year 2021 and welcome to TFG's first article of the year. Last year, we posted an article all about Street Fighter: Duel — a mobile RPG spin-off of the series in development. Street Fighter: Duel was originally announced with a main visual resembling Persona 5's main menu, but the art style for the game has changed quite dramatically since then. Inside, check out new SF:Duel character art!
