Mortal Kombat: Legacy II - Season 1 Released Today

Today, Machinima posted the entire first season of Mortal Kombat: Legacy II on Youtube. Season 1 features 10 episodes, each around 10 minutes long. If you're interested in seeing a completely new take on the MK universe, grab a drink & some popcorn, and watch Season 1 right here. A second season is also planned for this series which will mark the return of Liu Kang, Ermac and Kenshi.

Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold Trailer

Nope, you didn't read that wrong. That's actually the name of the upcoming update to Persona 4 Arena... the arcade version anyway. Coming to Japan arcades in Winter 2013, P4: UUSH will add Junpei Iori & Yukari Takeba from Persona 3, along with a brand new character named Sho Minazuki. Check out the brand new trailer! The story of P4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold takes place shortly after the events of Persona 4 Arena.

JJBA: ASB - Lisa & Joseph Trailer + Tutorial Video

Today, "old" Joseph Joestar and Lisa Lisa have hit the Japanese PSN store as DLC for 300 yen each (about $3.00 USD). The third campaign, "The Ripple Masters" can also be downloaded. Here's a brand new trailer from Namco showing Joseph & Lisa in gameplay for the first time. The trailer also teases the 3 upcoming DLC characters: Iced, Anasui and Baoh. Project EF-12: a Free 3D Fighting Game Engine

Project EF-12 was unveiled over the weekend in TGS 2013's Indie Game section. Similar to M.U.G.E.N, Project EF-12 is a free, fully customizable 3D fighting game engine which takes its inspiration from the likes of Tekken, Virtua Fighter & Soul Calibur. Users can edit pretty much everything, including characters & their moves, stages, and the appearance of the HUD. Hit the link for more details and some video footage of EF-12.

Tekken Revolution 1.02 Update Now Available

The free 407 MB Tekken Revolution update hit PSN in North America today. To recap, this update adds Feng, Nina, Miguel and Kuma to the roster along with several new stages. Also, the new Character Unlock Pass is now available for purchase (along with new premium effects & alternate costumes), and the rank cap has been raised to Byakko (21 dan). Injustice: Gods Among Us Patch 1.06 Release Notes

NetherRealm Studios just released all the patch notes for the latest Injustice: Gods Among Us patch, in detail. The 1.06 patch goes live on October 1st and contains a variety of new options, gameplay changes, arena changes, character tweaks and more. NetherRealm even detailed all of the changes made to each individual character in the game.

Killer Instinct - 15 Screens of Sadira & New Stage

Earlier at Tokyo Game Show '13, an official trailer for Sadira, the newcomer to Killer Instinct, was released. If you're digging this design so far, check out 15 brand new screenshots featuring Sadira (and her stage) on TFG's KI3 preview profile. These new screenshots aren't exactly "HD", but do supply a clear look at the spider-infested stage design and Sadira's costume(s). [UPDATE] Over half of the screenshots were upgraded to HD quality.

Sega Announces New 2D Fighter at TGS '13

If you thought there were "enough" Japanese fighting games on the market featuring girls in skirts battling each other with swords... good old Sega would be the first to disagree! At TGS '13, Sega announced Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, a new 2D fighting franchise featuring characters from the Dengeki Bunko light novel publishing label. Also revealed at TGS were some screenshots, artwork, and a short gameplay clip.

English Preview of Daigo Umehara's Manga

The manga based on the legendary Street Fighter player, Daigo "The Beast" Umehara, went on sale last Friday in Japan. To Live is to Game starts in Daigo's middle school years, leading up to when he won the Japanese National Tournament. Street Fighter II was the main game of this period, and many memorable gameplay scenes from SFII (and 3rd Strike) cleverly make an appearance. Here are the first 40 pages of the manga, translated in English!

TGS '13: Soul Calibur: Lost Swords Debut Trailer

Today at Tokyo Game Show '13, Namco Bandai unveiled the first trailer for Soul Calibur: Lost Swords, the upcoming free-to-play "single player" fighting game for PS3. JJBA: All-Star Battle Coming to North America

Namco Bandai announced today that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle will see a release in North America and Europe! The CyberConnect2 developed fighter will be coming stateside to Playstation 3 sometime in 2014. Stay tuned for further details on the English version of the game. I-No & Axl GGXrd -SIGN- Artwork, Playable in Nov.

A new scan from Fmaitsu magazine reveals the official Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- artwork for Axl Low and I-No. The return of these two Guilty Gear veterans was confirmed last week, as they both appear briefly in the most recent trailer. Also revealed in the Famitsu article is that Axl and I-No will be playable at GGXrd's location test this coming November.

KOF XIII Steam Edition Released Today

The PC version of King of Fighters XIII was released today, alongside a new trailer. KOF XIII: Steam Edition features "vastly improved "netcode over the console versions, and contains the most recent balance changes from the arcade version. KOF XIII: Steam Edition also features new graphics & performance options to cater to players with lower performance PCs, including "Static" and "Dynamic" background options.

Capcom Fighting Evolution Hits PSN Next Week

Following the footsteps of Capcom VS SNK 2, Capcom Fighting Evolution is coming to PSN in North America next week as a PS2 Classic. Like CVS2 on PSN, CFE won't contain updated graphics, features, or online play... it's simply a port of the 2004 PS2 version. If you're not familiar with what Capcom Fighting Evolution is all about, be sure to read TFG's full review. CFE was released on PSN in Japan last December for about $14.

Tekken Revolution "Update 1.2" Alt. Costumes Trailer

As you may know, this month's free update to Tekken Revolution will be adding some new alternate costumes (paid DLC) in addition to the 4 new characters (Nina, Feng, Miguel & Kuma). Namco Bandai EU released a new Tekken Revolution trailer showing off some of these new costumes in action. "Update 1.2" is currently available in Europe and will arrive on September 24th in North America.

Kokonoe Announced as DLC Character in Blazblue: CP 

A new DLC character has been confirmed for the PS3 exclusive, Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma. Best known from her 'Help Me! Professor Kokonoe' skits, Kokonoe the catgirl will bring the power of science into battle along with a hammer and wrench as weapons. Her 'Graviton Gauge' also enables the use of various elemental attacks. Check out the first screenshots of Kokonoe in action, along with her official ChronoPhantasma artwork!

Free-to-Play Soul Calibur Title Coming to PS3

A scan from the latest Famitsu magazine confirms a new Soul Calibur title in development for Playstation 3 called Soul Calibur: Lost Swords, a name which Namco Bandai trademarked back in July. Besides being "free-to-play" like Tekken Revolution, no further details have been given. Knowing Namco, it won't take long for them to give us some more info. So stay tuned!

New GGXrd -Sign- Trailer Confirms Axl & I-No

Arc System Works unveiled a new Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- trailer during Sony's recent Japan press conference. Just over a minute long, the new trailer confirms the return of Axl Low and I-no. Arc System Works' Takeshi Yamanaka also confirmed both Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 versions of the game via Twitter. While no specific release dates were given, GGXrd -SIGN- is scheduled for a Spring 2014 arcade release.

Namco Bandai released their "week 1" sales numbers for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle. The game has already sold 425,718 units in Japan, making it the current #1 selling video game in Japan. This also makes All-Star Battle one of the fastest selling fighting games in recent times. Killer Instinct New Colors & Graphics Update

Maximillian sat down with Double Helix producer Michael Willette to talk alternate character colors in Killer Instinct for Xbox One. The 8-minute video shows off some of the color variations for Jago, Glacius, Sabrewulf, and Thunder. If you haven't watched any KI (2013) gameplay footage in a while, you also might notice some new character animations and graphical effects which were recently added to the engine.

Under Night In-Birth Update Released, New Character

An update to the 2D fighting game, Under Night In-Birth, hit Japanese arcades today. The "Exe: Late" upgrade adds Chaos as a playable character. It was also just revealed that Exe: Late will include an additional guest character, Akatsuki, from Akatsuki Blitzkampf (an obscure doujin fighting game). French Bread released 5 screenshots featuring Akatsuki, along with his Under Night In-Birth character artwork.

JJBA: ASB Combo Video Roundup, Sept. 10th Patch

Since the release of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle last week, several combo videos have been popping up online. Some infinite combos and bugs have also been found, but CyberConnect2 announced that an upcoming patch (coming Sept. 10th) will fix these. The developers also announced that due to the great sales of the game, the DLC character, Pannacotta Fuugo, will be released on Sept. 12th for free.

Joining Nina & Feng Wei, the upcoming major Tekken Revolution update (Coming Sept. 11th in Europe & Sept. 24th in North America) will also add Miguel & Kuma (confirmed on the official website). Other new features of the update, include: New costumes & premium effects, purchasable "character unlock pass" (making it easier to unlock characters), 60-minute premium session option, rank limit extend, plus additional bug & balance tweaking.

DOA5 Ultimate Released, Free Version on PSN

Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate was released today on PS3 & Xbox 360 for $34.99. Story Mode (same one as DOA5) can also be bought for an additional $14.99. On PSN, a free-to-play version of the game called DOA5 Ultimate: Core Fighters is available. This version includes 4 playable fighters: Kasumi, Ayane, Hayabusa & Hayate (plus Hitomi & Jann Lee for a limited time), and most game modes. In the free version, new characters cost $3.99 each.

Chaos Code Now Available on North American PSN

Chaos Code, the Taiwanese 2D fighting game makes its official North American debut on Playstation Network today! You can download it on PSN for the low price of $11.99. As previously reported, the game doesn't feature online mode in its current state, but FK Digital confirmed that a future patch will enable online play. "I Am Street Fighter" 25th Anniversary Documentary

Capcom released their 72-minute "I Am Street Fighter" documentary on the official Street Fighter Youtube channel. This documentary was originally exclusive to the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector's Set, but is now publicly available online to everyone. The movie features interviews with Yoshinori Ono and Seth Killian, alongside many hardcore fans of Street Fighter.

Rumor: Tekken 7 on Namco's New Arcade Board

In the past, Namco has developed new installments to Tekken using arcade boards based on the latest Playstation hardware. For example, Tekken 5 was developed for Namco Arcade System 256, and TTT2 for System 369. Japanese site, inatekken, suggested that Namco is developing a new arcade board (System 478) possibly based on PS4 hardware. According to the rumor, Tekken 7 is one of the games planned to debut on the hardware.

A recent (translated) screenshot of the Background Music Customization mode in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle has surfaced. As we reported yesterday, All-Star Battle allows you to not only change the BGM's of each stage, but also add music from your PS3 HDD (and even has a randomize option). This mode seems to function very similarly to Tekken Tag Tournament 2's "Tekken Tunes" Mode!

Spawn Confirmed for Soul Calibur 2 HD Online

Looks like Heihachi won't be the only guest character appearing in Soul Calibur II HD Online! Spawn and Heihachi will meet for the first time ever when the game launches this Fall on PS3 & Xbox 360. New JJBA: ASB Trailer Reveals 5 New DLC Characters

To celebrate today's release of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle, Namco Bandai uploaded a new trailer which confirms new DLC characters: Iggy, Yangu, Fugo and Baoh (from another manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki)! Xuan Dou Zhi Wang "Beat-em-up" Coming to
iOS

Chinese developer, Tencent Games is working on "beat-em-up" version of Xuan Dou Zhi Wang to be released on mobile devices. They didn't announce it themselves, but a video trailer for the game has popped up online. Judging from the trailer, Xuan Dou Zhi Wang "Mobile Edition" appears to have 4 selectable fighters to start with, those being: Yan, Ell Blue, Brazel and Claire Fox.

King of Fighters MOBA Game in The Works

Remember that "KOF Online" RPG game a few years ago that got canceled? Well, it looks like an RPG-like King of Fighters title will actually see the light of day. The South Korean-based developer, Dragonfly is working on new MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game based on KOF. The beta version of the game is set to launch in Thailand on September 4th. Killer Instinct Free Version Character Rotation

It was reported a while back that a free-to-play version Killer Instinct for Xbox One will be available for download. This version will feature Jago to start with, and additional characters can be purchased individually ($4.99 each) and in a variety of DLC packs. In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Ken Lobb revealed that KI will introduce a free character rotation system, giving new players a new character to try out every few months or so.

Chaos Code Will be $12 on PSN, Online Mode Patch

As we reported two weeks ago, Chaos Code is coming to Playstation Network in North America "very soon". Siliconera recently reported the game will be priced at a very reasonable $12. Keep in mind, the earlier Asia PSN release of Chaos Code last December did not feature an online mode. However, FK Digital has plans to release a patch enabling online play in both versions. KI (2013) Fresh Details & New Character Revealed

Earlier today, Gametrailers released a Chief Thunder combo trailer (which strangely was taken offline shortly afterwards). The end of the trailer teased a brand new character for the game, whom is currently unnamed. The new female character has a completely new fighting style involving aerial attacks and what seem to be spider webs. Nina & Feng Coming to Tekken Revolution in Sept.

Another free update is coming to the free-to-play Tekken Revolution this September. Nina Williams and Feng Wei will be joining the roster as unlockable characters. In addition, some new stages will be added, and new alternate costumes & premium effects will be available for purchase. Namco Bandai also released several new screenshots with this announcement.

DOA5U - 231 Unlockable Costumes, New Tag Mode

Tecmo Koei just announced DOA5: Ultimate will have a total of 231 unlockable costumes, doubling the amount from the prequel. Tecmo also confirmed 2 VS 2 online tag mode, enabling co-op gameplay against other teams (similar to TTT2's online Pair Play feature). In addition, a new character points system will debut (similar to SF4's battle points system) and is designed to show a player's skill level with each character.

Yatagarasu to be Released as Legend of Raven on Vita

SNES SF2 Trilogy Now Available on Wii U eShop

No, you didn't read it wrong... there's actually fighting game news with "Wii U" in the headline! 3 Capcom classics from the SNES days have made their way to the Wii U eShop: Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 2: Turbo and Super Street Fighter 2, each priced at $7.99. Discounts are also available for buying multiple titles. All 3 games feature Miiverse support but no online play. Capcom also released Wii U trailers for each title.

Blazblue: ChronoPhantasma Story Mode Preview

Famitsu released some screenshots of Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma's Story Mode. Weighing in at over 30 hours, the sequel's story mode is broken up into 3 scenarios all leading up to the game's true ending: Chrono Phantasma, Six Heroes and Sector Seven. Along with 5 screenshots, Famitsu also gave a preview of Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma's plot.

Ubisoft Unveils The Fighter Within for Xbox One

At Gamescom '13, Ubisoft revealed a new motion controlled fighter called The Fighter Within for the Xbox One. Powered by Kinect 2, the game is said to have "unprecedented 1 to 1 precision movement tracking." So far, Ubisoft released 6 screenshots, some character bios, and a trailer. So far, Ubisoft released 6 HD screenshots, 3 character bios and a trailer. There's also some off-screen footage from Gamescom with actual gameplay.

Divekick Now Available on PSN and Steam

Divekick, the indie fighting game that started as a joke (and possibly still is a joke) is now available for $9.99 on Playstation Network ($7.99 for PS+ members) and Steam. The PSN versions supports cross-buy, which means you'll own both the PS3 & Vita versions by buying one. Divekick features 13 characters, GGPO online play, Local VS play, Story Mode, and trophies.

Microsoft announced the pricing structure for the Xbox One exclusive, Killer Instinct. For $19.99, the "Combo Breaker" bundle includes 6 launch characters, all default stages and Training Mode. The $39.99 "Ultra Combo" bundle contains the 6 launch characters + 2 post-launch DLC characters, more stages, character accessory packs, alt. costumes, and the original arcade game. In addition, some HD wallpapers were added to the TFG profile.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle Intro

The full opening movie of CyberConnect2's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle has appeared online. All Star Battle's colorful intro packs a jazzy soundtrack and shows off some of the game's artistic flavor & "comic style" graphics engine. Elena USF4 Art Creation Process on Capcom Blog

Capcom's Saikyo Blog released some interesting images showing the step-by-step process in creating Elena's Ultra Street Fighter IV artwork. Producer Tomoaki Ayano explains that the team started with 3 main sketches of Elena before choosing the final pose to be made into the official version. I would guess (hope) they'll be doing this for all 4 of the returning SFXT characters coming to Ultra SF4... so stay tuned.

Persona 4 Arena Update Adding 2 New Fighters

The arcade version of Persona 4 Arena will be receiving an update which adds 2 new fighters to the roster: Yukari Takeba & Junpei Iori from Persona 3. In addition, new "Shadow-Type" versions of characters will be playable. Killer Instinct (2013) Chief Thunder Reveal Trailer

Double Helix just released an official reveal trailer for Chief Thunder in Killer Instinct (2013). Along with getting a close look at Chief Thunder's updated design, the video highlights his new techniques and various gameplay tools, fully detailed by the Double Helix dev-team. AquaPazza Coming to North America This November

Are you a fan of obscure Japanese fighting games? As seen on Play-Asia, a North America version of AquaPazza: Aquaplus Dream Match is scheduled to be released on PS3 this November (as a disc-based title and PSN download) for $29.99. The console version contains everything from the Arcade version in addition to some new features, including: Additional characters, Story Mode, Network Mode, Gallery Mode, and an updated Training Mode.

Chaos Code Headed to PSN in North America

Last December, the 2011 arcade 2D fighting game Chaos Code by Taiwanese developers FK Digital was released on PSN in several Asia regions. Arc System Works has helped FK Digital get Chaos Code to North America, and the company just confirmed that the game will be released soon on Playstation Network! International Petition for Xuan Dou Zhi Wang

The RuggedSource Youtube team has spoken with Tencent Games in China in an effort to have Xuan Dou Zhi Wang (AKA King of Combat) released in English. Their goal is set at 10,000 signatures, and right now they've got quite a long ways to go. Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- Location Test

The first location test of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- is currently going on at the Sega Akihabara Building 1 in Tokyo, Japan. Cam footage of the game has been popping up on Youtube over the past few hours, giving us a first look at some of the recently announced characters. Shoryuken.com also released some early first impressions from players on the scene, along with screen-grabs showing Potemkin, Chipp, Millia, and others in action.

Blazblue: Alter Memory Anime Trailer

A trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Blazblue was just released. The trailer opens with cinematics from the games in order, starting with Calamity Trigger and ending with ChronoPhantasma. As you may know, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle will feature events that take place from Part 1 to Part 8 of the manga. Zatanna Confirmed as 6th DLC Character for Injustice 

Today, Injustice producer Ed Boon announced the sixth DLC character for the game, Zatanna. Also revealed was a gameplay trailer for Zatanna, just under 3 minutes long. The wait won't be long for Zatanna, as she is being released next Tuesday, August 13, for $4.99 on PS3 and 400 MS Points on Xbox 360.

Siliconera Interviews Harada on Tekken Revolution

Siliconera posted another new interview with Tekken producer, Katsuhiro Harada, this time on Tekken Revolution. Soul Calibur's Sophitia Alexandra will be crossing over to Tecmo Koei's upcoming hack and slash title, Warriors Orochi 3: Ultimate, making her the first character from a non-Tecmo Koei published game to appear in the series. Tekken Revolution Update 1.01 Live in North America

The major Tekken Revolution update is now live in most continents, including North America. Arc System Works 25th Anniversary Arcade Stick

Arc System Works announced they will be releasing an official arcade stick this October to celebrate their 25th anniversary. This PS3 stick features Sanwa parts and 3 interchangeable faceplates. In addition to the "Pillar & Light" default plate, the stick comes with Blazblue: ChronoPhantasma and "BlayzBloo" chibi spin-off alternate plates. The stick is set to be released on October 24th to coincide with the PS3 version of Blazblue: CP.

GGXrd -SIGN- Aksys Hints 2014 Release, Location Test

Famitsu recently interviewed Minoru Kidooka, the president of Arc System Works. Kidooka stated that the company will be focused on Blazblue throughout Fall, and mentioned that hopefully they will "keep the energy going for the new Guilty Gear next year." GGXrd is rumored to be a next gen title, so a 2014 release seems possible. In addition, Aksys announced the first location test for GGXrd, which will be held in Tokyo Aug. 9th-12th.

Capcom Has No Plans For a New Darkstalkers

Capcom's new fighting game manager, Matt Dahlgren, recently revealed to Siliconera that "Darkstalkers Resurrection didn't perform as well as we would have liked." and "There is nothing Darkstalkers on the immediate horizon for sure." Sad news for any DS fan, but not surprising news out of Capcom these days. To all Darkstalkers fans, I say stay positive... Darkstalkers has a better chance of a revival than some other "dead" franchises out there.

Capcom just uploaded the second trailer for Ultra Street Fighter IV. Trailer #2 begins with a montage of past SF4 tournaments followed by some player commentary. Near the end, some new footage of the 4 new characters is also shown. In addition, Gamespot uploaded 40-minutes of footage from Capcom's Street Fighter panel at SDCC '13. At the panel, Capcom talks about new merchandise, Ultra SF4, and even hosts a cosplay competition.

TR Character Poll Full Results, Concept Art

Producer Harada recently posted the full results of the Tekken Revolution "new character concept" poll on Facebook, so you can see where each of the designs ranked in the voting. In addition, he revealed full quality concept art for the female vampire and Tekken Force girl. Harada has previously stated that some of these new characters will eventually make the cut to Tekken Revolution and possibly future Tekken installments.

Tekken Revolution 1.01 Update Releasing Soon

The major Tekken Revolution update that became available in Japan on July 16th will soon be released in other regions. In Europe, the free update will be released on July 24th and will be available in North America by the end of the month. Tekken Revolution New Character Concept Art

As promised, Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada revealed concept sketches for the leading characters of the Tekken Revolution poll at SDCC '13. Receiving the most votes was the "Female Vampire" (A young female vampire that has been imprisoned in a wing of the Rochefort Estate, where Lili was raised). This character (and others) are set to be added to Tekken Revolution. Sketches for Female Tekken Force member and Zombie Bride were also shown.

Tecmo Koei Japan just uploaded a new trailer and other gameplay clips for Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate. S.T.A.R. Labs DLC Missions Coming to Injustice

The official Injustice: Gods Among Us Twitter account announced that new S.T.A.R. Labs missions will be available next Tuesday, July 23rd. Xuan Dou Zhi Wang - Terry & Benimaru Video Demo

Back in April, it was reported that Terry and Benimaru will be crossing over to the Chinese fighting game by Tencent Games, Xuan Dou Zhi Wang. Today, we get to see the the first in-game video footage of Terry and Benimaru in the game! Their XDZW incarnations closely resemble their KOF XIII sprites, but are animated differently and have a more "3D" appearance. In short, I'd say they look pretty awesome in the game!

Street Fighter IV Turns 5 Years Old Today

Believe it or not, today is Street Fighter IV's fifth birthday. The original SF4 arcade cabinet hit Japanese arcades on July 18th, 2008. There's no doubt SF4 was one of the most impactful fighting games of this era, spawning a lasting resurgence in the genre since its arrival. With the third full sequel (Ultra SF4) announced just last weekend, it would appear the SF4 series still has some fight left.

Blazblue: ChronoPhantasma - 64 Player Online Lobby

The latest magazine reports have given some new details on Blazblue: ChronoPhantasma's Online Mode. Among the new features include a 64 player, text chat enabled lobby. Players can fight CPU opponents while waiting for online opponents. In addition, players can use chibi-style characters to login to various cities within the Blazblue world. Killer Instinct (2013) EVO '13 Trailer, Gameplay

Double Helix debuted a new Killer Instinct trailer at EVO '13, which begins with a new Glacius gameplay montage. After some flashy combos by Glacius, the trailer also reveals the "Counter Breaker" system, which is basically a Combo Breaker counter. At the end of the trailer, a 5-second teaser showing a tomahawk all but confirms the return of Chief Thunder. In addition, there's nearly an hour of EVO gameplay footage to check out.

The official name for the upcoming update to SSFIV: Arcade Edition was just announced at EVO '13! Tonight at EVO '13, Ed Boon revealed a trailer for the 5th DLC character to be added to Injustice: Gods Among Us, Martian Manhunter. CVS2 Coming to North American PSN This Week

Last September, Capcom VS SNK 2 was released on the Japanese Playstation as a "PS2 Classic". Finally, the hit cross-over fighting game is headed to PSN in North America this week, according to PSNStores.com. Since this is a PS2 Classic, don't expect online mode, trophies, or fancy new features. It's simply a port of the PS2 version (still a great package). CVS2 hits PSN this Tuesday, July 16th for $9.99.

Skullgirls PC Version, Divekick Release Dates

Lab Zero Games has announced on Twitter that the PC version of Skullgirls will arrive on August 22nd, with pre-orders becoming available on August 1st via Steam. Lab Zero also revealed this promotional poster for the PC version. In other indie fighting game news, Divekick recently got an official release date. Iron Galaxy announced that Divekick will be available on PS3 and PSVita on August 20th for the low price of $9.99, with cross-buy enabled!

EVO '13: Nintendo Reverses Decision on SSBM Stream

Melee to be streamed at this year's EVO. However, SRK just announced tonight that Nintendo has reversed their decision and SSBM will be streamed this weekend at EVO... A smart move by Nintendo (the second one, anyway).

EVO '13 Stream Schedule Change, Injustice Reveal

Shoryuken.com recently announced their stream schedule for this weekend's EVO '13. The stream included Super Smash Bros. Melee, the 8th game voted in from SRK's breast cancer donation drive, raising over $90K. Sadly, today Nintendo of America informed SRK that they can't stream SSBM due to legal reasons, resulting in a schedule change. In other EVO news, Ed Boon just confirmed a 5th DLC character for Injustice will be shown this weekend.

DOA5: Ultimate Coming to Japanese Arcades in Winter

Today, Tecmo Koei announced that an arcade version of Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate will be coming to Japan this Winter. This marks the series return to arcades for the first time in 13 years. DOA5: Ultimate arcade will use SEGA's "ALL.Net P-ras MULTI Ver.2" content distribution system. The PS3 & 360 versions of the game are set to be released September 3rd in North America as both a physical and digital game.

Blazblue: ChronoPhantasma Director Interview

Siliconera recently sat down with Blazblue: ChronoPhantasma producer, Toshimichi Mori. In the interview, Mori-san talks about the new characters - particularly their movesets and how they fit into the storyline. Killer Instinct (2013) Community Feedback Chart

Double Helix Games, the developers of the new Killer Instinct title for Xbox One, recently released a community feedback chart which shows the most popular requests for the new KI. Among the highest ranked, are: Returning Rooftop Finishers, Classic Skins, Darker Announcer, Ultimates, More Blood, No Mercies, and Classic Soundtracks. Mortal Kombat Legacy Season 2 Fight Scene Clip

Director Kevin Tancharoen unveiled a new video clip from season 2 of the upcoming web series, Mortal Kombat Legacy. Debuting on the 24-hour Machinima Birthday stream, the 2-minute clip is a fight scene featuring Sub-Zero VS Scorpion. After the clip, the director talks more about what we can expect from season 2, mentioning there will be more fight scenes and recreated fatalities this time around.

Injustice - Patch v1.05, General Zod Now Available

General Zod, latest DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us, can now be purchased on PSN & XBL. Zod is released alongside patch v1.05, which brings various character changes (including Scorpion nerfs). In addition, a free classic costume for Ares was released along with several purchasable DLC costume packs, including: Blackest Night #2, Earth 2, New 52, and the Man of Steel Superman alternate skin.

Tekken Revolution Update to Celebrate 1m Downloads

To celebrate Tekken Revolution's 1 million downloads, Katsuhiro Harada announced an update to the game today via Twitter. He confirmed that Jin Kazama and Ling Xiaoyu have joined the Tekken Revolution roster! Starting today, the new characters can be unlocked with Gift Points. In addition, a new online event where players can earn bonus Fight Money, Gift Points and EXP will be going on this week.
