Sega Opens 60th Anniversary Website, No Virtua Fighter Announcement

Not surprisingly, Sega's teaser from a few days back wasn't anything related to Virtua Fighter after all. Sega's (arguably cruel) teaser was only to announce the opening of their new 60th Anniversary website, which looks at the history and timeline of Sega as a company. Sega chairman Haruki Satomi also provided a message to fans, "The year, 60 years will have passed since Nihon Goraku Bussan Co. Lid., the predecessor of Sega, was established on June 3, 1960.

TEKKEN 7 5 Years Later, Dengeki Interviews Katsuhiro Harada

Dengeki Online recently sat down with TEKKEN series producer Katushiro Harada for a lengthy but very interesting interview about TEKKEN 7's lifespan and history. Believe it or not, TEKKEN 7's location tests began in late 2014, with the arcade version "pre-launch" in February 2015. A fighting game to last competitively for 5 years and still see increasing player numbers is a rare occurrence, and TEKKEN 7's breakout success wasn't originally anticipated by Bandai Namco.
