First 30 Minutes of Mortal Kombat X's Story Mode

*Spoilers Ahead!* NetherRealm Studios released the entire first chapter of MKX's ambitious story mode for all to see. Nearly a half hour long, the first cinematic chapter of MKX starts off following Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade & Kenshi on their path to find Shinnok. Throughout the chapter, a wide variety of returning kombatants (who we'll leave unnamed) make an appearance. If you want to wait for MKX's release to be surprised, don't watch.

Newcomer Josie Rizal, Jin Kazama & Devil Jin Officially Revealed in New Tekken 7 Character Trailers

It's now time to check out how those previously leaked new characters for TEKKEN 7 were supposed to be revealed. Bandai Namco's latest character trailers show 3 new fighters in fluid action. Jin Kazama & Devil Jin return with some badass new moves, and newcomer Josie Rizal shows off a brand new fighting style consisting of hard-hitting kicks, some cool dodging techniques and some very flashy combos! Also take a look at high quality renders for all 3 fighters.

MKX Erron Black Trailer, Kombat Kast Shows Shinnok & Liu Kang Gameplay / X-ray Moves

NetherRealm Studios revealed the latest MKX character trailer today, which stars the gunslinger Erron Black. In the trailer, we get a look at Erron Black shooting guns... throwing some kind of grenades... and shooting more guns. The latest episode of the official Kombat Kast also went live today. Highlights of the podcast include gameplay footage of Shinnok and Liu Kang.

Killer Instinct Hisako Official Trailer, Cinder Teaser

Today, the naginata-wielding ghost girl known as Hisako will grace Killer Instinct with her haunting presence. The official trailer from Iron Galaxy introduces Hisako's origin and offers another look at some of her in-game abilities. Following suit with past official trailers, the end of the trailer teases the next Killer Instinct combatant... this time it's a returning fan-favorite who went missing in KI2, Cinder!

Mortal Kombat X Shaolin Trailer Reveals Liu Kang

This afternoon, NetherRealm Studios released the latest story / gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat X. As you might expect, Raiden, Kung Lao, and Liu Kang make an appearance in the trailer (and yes, Liu Kang is officially confirmed playable). Liu Kang is a bit different than you might remember him, being risen from the dead by Shinnok and all. Newcomer Kung Jin also appears in the trailer, showing off his archery skills. Bo Rai Cho also makes a cameo in the story mode.

PS4 2.50 System Update is Live! 60fps Remote Play & Share Play, USB Support, Delete 0% Trophies, Etc.

PS4's highly anticipated 2.50 system update (codename: "Yukimura") is now live, and it's packed with great stuff that matters to fighting game players. 60fps is especially important in fighting games, and now Share Play & Remote Play on Vita supports beautifully smooth 60fps (with improved visual quality)! Jin Kazama Discovered as Secret Tekken 7 Sub Boss, First Screengrabs & Gameplay Footage

It's been exactly 1 week since Jin Kazama, Devil Jin and a couple of other new characters in TEKKEN 7 were leaked. Early this morning, a player from Japan (Masakarijin) discovered Jin Kazama as a CPU-controlled sub boss while doing an arcade run in TEKKEN 7. He took some snapshots of Jin as the sub boss (taking the place of Heihachi in Arcade Mode). [UPDATE 3-28-15] Gameplay videos added!

DOA5: Last Round Senran Kagura Costumes Trailer

Koei Tecmo released a new trailer and some promotional images for the new Senran Kagura DLC costume pack, which features new "destructible" outfits for 16 DOA girls. The Senran Kagura costume DLC is now available for purchase on PS4, PS3, XB1 & Xbox 360 in Japan. The Western release for this costume DLC is planned for sometime this month.

ATP Live With Tekken 7 Podcast Interview With Producer Harada & Michael Murray

TEKKEN 7 made its North American debut at Final Round 18 this past weekend. AvoidingThePuddle just posted a 1-hour podcast featuring commentary by not only TEKKEN community leaders Aris, Reepal, & Markman, but also producer Harada and developer Michael Murray. In the interview, Aris asks Harada some really good questions regarding T7, covering topics such as the recent character leaks, time release schedule, the controversial Lucky Chloe reveal, etc.

Tekken 7 Character Color Edit Preview & Rank Titles

While TEKKEN 6's customization mode offered better options than Tekken Tag 2's in some areas, TTT2's color editing options were definitely far superior to the prequel's. TEKKEN 7's will take color editing a step further with even more options than TTT2's, as shown by the first images of the arcade version's edit mode.

Tremor & Tanya Included in MKX Kombat Pack, Jax & Liu Kang Also Confirmed Playable

The MKX news continues to roll in this weekend, as we now have confirmation that Tremor and Tanya will join Predator and Jason Vorhees as part of the MKX Kombat Pack. A sort of "teaser" reveal trailer was also released for these 4 kombatants. In addition, both Liu Kang and Jax were mentioned in upcoming costume packs (Klassic Packs 1 & 2), which officially confirms them as playable.

MKX News Roundup: Samurai Costumes, Kold War Scorpion, Quitalities, and... Predator Confirmed.

NetherRealm's Mortal Kombat X stream unveiled quite a few new things today. To start, the Samurai Costume Pack will be part of the Premium Edition bundle (which costs $80.99) and includes costumes for Kitana, Quan Chi & Kenshi. The fan-created "Kold War Scorpion" costume will also appear in the game, new "Quitalities" will punish rage quitters online, and... ohh yeah... Predator has been confirmed playable via a leak on the Xbox Store.

Character Data Leaked, Jin Kazama, Devil Jin & New Fighters Revealed!

Two days after the full launch of TEKKEN 7 in Asia, some wily fans over in Korea have managed to access some new character data (possibly via Tekken.net) and, of course, leak the images online. For starters, it looks like Jin Kazama and Devil Jin are planned for the game. In addition, a new female character (possibly Filipino) and a rather "beastly" creature are also shown.

PC Version of DOA5: Last Round is Missing Features, Up to 3 Months Delay For Online

PC fighting game ports these days are far and few between, and they're usually delayed by months (or even years). A lot of PC ports also seem to come with problems not found in the console versions or they're missing features, as is the case with DOA5:LR. According to the specs on Team Ninja's website, DOA5:LR on PC will be without the Soft Engine, PS4/XB1 "effects", the 2 new stages found in the PS4/XB1 versions, and up to a 3 month delay for netplay.

Tekken 7 Officially Launches in Arcades, New Screenshots, Photos, News & Video Roundup

TEKKEN 7 has officially launched in arcades all over Asia! One important thing the "full launch" adds is Local VS Mode (pre-launch was online play only to test the arcade cab's netcode). While no new characters have yet been seen outside of the 20 currently playable, it's expected that "time release" fighters will slowly be added to the game in the coming days/months. What's more interesting are some particularly revealing screenshots attached to certain achievements which have leaked some juicy visuals, including playable characters, alternate costumes, and Test Your Might mode.

No Cross-Region Netplay For MKX on PSN

While the hype building up for MKX has been strong, the past two days have revealed a bit of bad news. First the delay for the PS3/360 ports, and now the announcement of "region-locked" online multiplayer (on PSN), as confirmed today by MKX producer Shaun Himmeric. What this means is: Players from North America can't play with those from Europe (or other regions) and vice versa. Due to this, some fans are speculating on the quality of MKX's netcode. MKX Delayed Until "Summer 2015" on PS3/360

When it comes to multi-platform fighting game releases, it seems like last-gen ports are getting the shaft more and more. Warner Bros. confirmed today that MKX will be delayed on PS3 & Xbox 360 until Summer 2015. The good news is, MKX will still be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC on the original release date, April 14th. Ed Boon did state early on in the game's development that they are "focused solely on the PS4/XB1 ports" (so you can't say he didn't warn you).

Friday The 13th's Jason Voorhees Announced As Guest Character For Mortal Kombat X

Happy Friday The 13th... because Jason is coming to MKX. Back in 2011, Freddy Krueger jumped from his horror heritage to Mortal Kombat 9 as a guest fighter. The horror film icon, Jason Voorhees, will follow in his buddy's footsteps this year as the first fighter in MKX's "Kombat Pack" DLC. There's no gameplay or screenshots of Jason yet, but the teaser reveal trailer should get fans pretty excited.

Guilty Gear Xrd Netplay Improvements Incoming

Arc System Works recently announced and detailed an upcoming patch for the console versions of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. Patch 1.04 will remedy a few bugs as well as smooth out GGXrd's online and cross-play modes. Here are the full patch notes if you'd like to read up on all the improvements. Players can expect this patch to hit their PS4s and PS3s sometime this month.

Mortal Kombat X "Cage Family Trailer" Confirms Both Johnny Cage & Sonya Blade as Playable Fighters

NetherRealm Studios released a new Mortal Kombat X trailer this morning, starring... Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, and Sonya Blade (surprise)! The entire Cage family will of course have important roles in the MKX storyline, but will also be playable characters. Tekken 7 "Just Before Launch" Special Broadcast Shows Off Slow-mo, Combos & Cosplayers

Bandai Namco and TEKKEN Producer Harada held a special TEKKEN 7 broadcast event in Japan. The 45-minute Youtube broadcast contains several interesting tidbits if you're hyped about TEKKEN 7. Firstly, the game's cinematic "slow-mo" feature is highlighted at 3:10. When both players are in danger of a K.O., the camera zooms in as slow-mo activates. This can result in an epic finish, but both attacks can also miss... resulting in yet another slow-mo sequence.

Looks Like Johnny Cage & Mileena Will Be Playable in Mortal Kombat X

While Johnny Cage and Mileena haven't been "officially revealed" as playable characters by NetherRealm Studios or Ed Boon, there's now more than enough evidence to call it confirmed. Leaked today on Amazon, this latest batch of MKX character artwork gives a new look at several previously confirmed kombatants, along with Cage & Mileena. The Amazon listing also states that these two will be playable.

Pop Culture Shock Toys recently revealed their latest Street Fighter statue... and this one's a beast. If you have an extra $680 laying around and you're an Akuma fan, you can now pre-order one of the beastliest Akuma statues ever created. Killer Instinct's Ghost Girl, Hisako, Revealed at PAX East 2015, Other New Content Coming Soon

At PAX East this weekend, Microsoft and Iron Galaxy revealed some new details regarding Xbox One's ever-evolving Killer Instinct. They stated that in June, KI's story mode will be updated to include Season 2 characters. Also, a new gameplay mode called "Shadow Mode" will debut in April, allowing players to upload a "ghost" of themselves for other players to fight against. Street Fighter V Release Date Still TBA (2016)

Contrary to what you might've read on other sites, Capcom did NOT confirm any new release window for SFV. A Gregaman blog post on Capcom Unity about PAX East merchandise seemed to have slipped by posting the words "in Spring (2016)" when mentioning SFV... words that were later deleted. Polygon reached out to Capcom about this, and a Capcom representative responded, "What was listed was just a tentative release time and no official announcements have been made."

Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma Extend Coming To The West on PS4, PS3, Xbox One & Vita This Summer  

Aksys Games confirmed today that the latest entry to the Blazblue franchise is headed to North America this Summer. This will mark the series jump to current-gen consoles (PS4 & Xbox One), but the title will also appear on PS3 & Vita. As you may know, the Extend update to ChronoPhantasma features 2 new characters (Celica & Lambda) along with a new stage, a revamped Guard Gauge system, and the new Remix Heart story scenario. Viewtiful Joe Starts Off The New "Capcom All Stars" Statue Series From First 4 Figures

First 4 Figures is known for making some pretty extravagant video game character statues. Just announced today is their upcoming Viewtiful Joe statue, the first in a new series called "Capcom All Stars" (which makes us wonder what other Capcom icons might get a new statue). The Viewtiful Joe statue comes in two versions, the $190 "Normal" version and the $210 light-up "Exclusive" version (limited to 450 pieces worldwide), both releasing in Q4 2015.

iOS & Android in April, Kenshi Screenshot Leaked

There are actually very few major fighting game franchises left that haven't received a mobile card battle spin-off game. Sometime in April, a F2P mobile game based on Mortal Kombat X and described as a "fighting/card-battle hybrid" will be released on Android and iOS. Ed Boon also stated that there will be some sort of "cross-connectivity" between the mobile game and MKX. Check out the teaser trailer for the upcoming mobile title.

Story Trailer Reveals at Least 8 New Characters

Today, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios dropped the story trailer for Mortal Kombat X. Clearly, the latest effort from NetherRealm aims to have one of the "most cinematic" Story Modes in any fighting game to date. A ton of returning old and new characters were also revealed, including: Mileena, Shinnok, Rain, Sindel, Jacqueline Briggs (Jax's daughter), Takashi Takeda (Kenshi's son), Kung Jin (Kung Lao's descendant), and newcomer Erron Black.

Mortal Kombat X Brutalities Trailer + Additional Video

Brutalities are back in Mortal Kombat X... but instead of the classic "beatdowns" from the MK3 era, MKX Brutalities are basically "mini" fatalities, and each character has several of them. NetherRealm's latest trailer shows off quite a few Brutalities, and apparently there are over 100 in the game! To activate a Brutality, certain conditions must be met, such as ending the fight with a throw. Many will be easily accessible, but some Brutalities will require stricter conditions.

Tekken 7 Now Has Customizable Lifebars, New Character Intro & Win Animations

Bandai Namco is slowly but steadily updating the current arcade build TEKKEN 7 with new content, for example: brand new character intro & win animations, and now... customizable lifebars! TEKKEN Official posted images of the first custom lifebar in the game, which features Mokujin. In the arcade version, all players need to do to earn their Mokujin lifebar is import their previous TTT2 Tekken.net data to T7.

Under Night In-Birth EXE:Late Now Available on Playstation 3 in North America

The localized version of French Bread's latest 2D fighter, Under Night In-Birth EXE:Late is now live on PSN for $33.99 ($23.79 for PS+ subscribers).  The PS3 version features 14 characters and 8 gameplay modes, including: Story, Score Attack, Time Attack, Survival, Training, VS CPU, and Network. Players can also customize their character and player icon online by using "Inver-se Points" (earned through playing the game). Expect a full TFG Review in the near future!

Official Killer Instinct Aganos Trailer is Live

You might've caught the stream footage of Aganos last weekend; now check out the official trailer for the upcoming Season 2 character. Out of nowhere, one of SNK's best 2D fighters just became available on Android and iOS platforms. Besides the reasonable $3.99 price tag, the best part is that this DotEmu port of Garou features Game Center online multiplayer, making it one of the first emulated fighting games with online multiplayer on mobile devices. The port includes: Arcade, 2P Versus, Survival, various control options, and bluetooth controller support. SNK also posted a pretty hype trailer for the new port!

Todd McFarlane Gives NetherRealm Studios Permission To Use Spawn in Mortal Kombat X

The latest rumor going around is that Spawn will appear as a guest character in MKX. In an interview with Gamerfitnation, McFarlane said that NetherRealm will "have access to be able to use the character (Spawn) in a couple of their games, if they want to." He continued, "It's up to their discretion. I gave them a window of time, and so I'll just leave it to them to be able to do what it is that they want." There aren't many badass female bosses in fighting games... and Kazuya's mother has something to say about that in TEKKEN 7. Now that the early version of TEKKEN 7 has launched in Japan, we're going to learn much more about Kazumi Mishima. Tekken 7 Hits Japan Arcades, Official Site Updated

It's Feb. 18th in Japan and Asia, which means the "pre-launch" arcade version of TEKKEN 7 is now available to the public! No doubt we'll be seeing and learning a lot more about the game in the coming days. Namco also updated the TEKKEN official site with new content & images, including a new poster that shows Kazumi. The new "system" section shows off some of the game's early customizations, matchmaking modes, and new screenshots.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Now Available

The release day for DOA5: Last Round has arrived, marking the series jump from last-gen to current-gen consoles. Team Ninja's 3D fighter is now available for purchase on PSN for PS4, as well as XBLA for Xbox One & 360. However, the PS3 version has been delayed 1 week (arriving Feb. 24th), and the PC version is set to arrive on March 30th. If you want to try out a limited version of the game for free, DOA5 Last Round: Core Fighters is also now available for download.

Bandai Namco Asks... "Why Do You Play Tekken?"

Continuing the 20 year anniversary celebration of the TEKKEN series, Bandai Namco posted a new video titled "Why Do You Play Tekken?". The 3-minute video highlights a 12-year-old TEKKEN player named Alexandre "AK" Levarez, a Filipino player who took 3rd place in 2013's TTT2 Unlimited Global Championship. In the video, AK talks about getting started with TEKKEN at the age of four, and other local players give their impressions of the young player.

Killer Instinct - Aganos Reveal Stream Archive

Katsuhiro Harada Shows Gameplay of Tekken 7's Shaheen & Lucky Chloe, Kazumi Confirmed as Boss

4Gamer met up with Katsuhiro Harada at this weekend's Japan Amusement Expo, which hosts the latest build of TEKKEN 7. Not only does the new build look better than ever with updated graphics, including: improved character models, sweat effects, & weather effects, but Shaheen and Lucky Chloe are now fully playable. In this new video by 4Gamer, Harada-san walks us through the new characters! Kazumi Mishima has also been confirmed as the final boss.

Mortal Kombat X Kitana & Reptile Concept Art, Alternate Costumes & Variations

NetherRealm Studios unveiled concept artwork and alternate costumes for Kitana & Reptile during their stream yesterday. The developers also touched on each character's 3 variations. Kitana's are called Royal Storm, Assassin & Mournful. Reptile's are Deceptive, Noxious & Nimble. Also check out footage of each character's Variations from NetherRealm's recent stream. Tekken 7 First Shaheen Screenshots, Gameplay Details For Shaheen & Lucky Chloe

Famitsu just unveiled the first TEKKEN 7 screenshots featuring newcomer, Shaheen! Famitsu also reported the first known details of his fighting style, which is described as "unique" by the publication. Shaheen has something similar to a Mist Step which is performed by pressing "d/f, d/f". This makes Shaheen go into a low tackle-like stance, moving towards his opponent and if connected will result in a throw technique.

King of Fighters Icons Join Metal Slug Defense

You might've heard of Metal Slug Defense, the free-to-play "castle defense" spin-off for Android and iOS platforms. SNK Playmore decided to throw some King of Fighters into the mix, adding Kyo Kusanagi, Benimaru Nikaido & Goro Daimon as playable units. (Check out those cool sprites)! Tekken 7 Arcade Version Opening Movie

With the arcade "pre-launch" of TEKKEN 7 now only one week away for Japan, producer Katsuhiro Harada has released the opening movie for the arcade version. The intro movie has Kazuya and Heihachi Mishima fighting it out on a volcano (appropriately), with conviction to end to the long-running Mishima saga once and for all. The intro also shows the full face of Kazumi (Kazuya's mother), and once again portrays that Kazuya received his devil powers from Kazumi.

"Mortal Kombat X: Next" Provides Look at New Modes & Features, Dev-team Commentary

A new 4-minute MKX video by NetherRealm called "MKX: Next" offers an in depth look at some of the game's all new modes & features, including "Faction War" and "Living Towers". Creative Director Ed Boon and other developers provide their commentary regarding the MK series as a whole and the upcoming next-gen fighting game. If you're not quite hyped about MKX yet, give this new video a watch... it might just do the trick! MKX will be released April 14th, 2015.

Meet Killer Instinct's New Golem Character, Aganos

The "golem" character who was teased 2 weeks ago in Omen's trailer now has a name... Aganos. Ultra-Combo.com released some concept artwork of Aganos, along with a size comparison image just to show how massive Aganos is next to other characters in the game. They also supplied Aganos's storyline and showed a preview of his stage.

Tekken 7 Arcade Cabinet Preview Image, Time Release System For New Characters

Namco has shared a preview image of the ultra-sleek TEKKEN 7 arcade cabinet. Once again, TEKKEN 7 arrives in arcades on Feb. 18th. Katsuhiro Harada confirmed that a character time release system for the arcade version will be in place. If it's anything like TEKKEN 5's (which also had 20 base characters) we can assume that new figters will be released in the coming months. In retrospect, after TEKKEN 5's arcade launch, there were 10 characters released after a period of 3 months.

High Resolution Tekken 7 Character Renders

Bandai Namco has updated the TEKKEN Official website with the latest TEKKEN 7 content, which includes high quality character renders for the 20 fighters confirmed for the game so far. It appears that these 20 characters will be playable in the upcoming "pre-launch" version of TEKKEN 7, scheduled to arrive in Japan arcades on Feb. 18th.

Mortal Kombat X Kollectors Edition Details & Pics

NetherRealm Studios is offering several MKX collectors... *ehem*... kollectors edition bundles to coincide with the game's release in April. If you're a big fan of Scorpion, you'll fancy the European kollectors edition, which includes: a Scorpion statue, Scorpion box, Scorpion case, Scorpion DLC costume, and Scorpion everything else. Scorpion also stars in the MKX kollectors edition by Coarse, featuring a different Scorpion statue and box.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Launch Trailer

With the game releasing in about 2 weeks, Team Ninja released a launch trailer for DOA5: Last Round today. The trailer runs through the "new" characters appearing in the update, while also showing gameplay footage, complete with tag throws, explosions, more explosions, and... you guessed it, new costumes! DOA5:LR hits current-gen and last-gen systems on Feb. 17th in North America and Feb. 20th in Europe. The PC version is coming March 30th.

Street Fighter 5 Exhibition Match at Taipei Game Show 2015 Featuring Daigo Umehara & GamerBee

Today at Taipei Game Show '15, Capcom's Yoshinori Ono and Tomoaki Ayano presented Street Fighter V on Sony's stage. Top Street Fighter players Daigo Umehara & Gamerbee were also present to show off an exhibition match in the (still) early build of SF5. Just this morning, Playstation Hong Kong posted the video of the exhibition match on Facebook.

Sega's Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax Coming To The West This Year, Exclusively on PS3 & Vita

Sega's 2D crossover anime fighting game has been confirmed for the West today via PS.Blog. Like many other Japanese / anime 2D fighters of recent times, Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax will be released exclusively on Playstation 3 & PS Vita. The game is planned for a Summer 2015 release. Ermac Confirmed For Mortal Kombat X, Reveal Trailer

NetherRealm Studios confirmed the latest MKX kombatant today, and it's yet another returning veteran (that's 2 in 1 week)! Indeed, Ermac N' Cheese is all set to bring his floating, teleporting, and various projectiles to next-gen MK. Like the Reptile trailer released last Tuesday, Ermac's reveal trailer shows off some of his special moves, X-rays, and a preview of his fatality. Tekken Crash Returns With Tekken 7 Tournament

The return of South Korean TV series dedicated to competitive TEKKEN premieres tonight at 4 PM Korea Standard Time (11 PM PST / 2 AM EST) featuring TEKKEN 7. Top South Korean players including: JDCR, Knee, Saint & Chanel will kick off the new show (appropriately titled TEKKEN Crash Returns) in 3-on-3 team battles. Everyone's favorite acid-spitting mutant ninja makes his return in Mortal Kombat X, as revealed in NetherRealm's latest trailer for the upcoming installment. Tekken 7 New CGI Character Renders Preview

You might've noticed that the early build of TEKKEN 7 used TTT2's character renders as in-game "placeholders" for many characters. However, here's a preview image, showing off TEKKEN 7's brand new renders for the current roster! For now, the overall quality on these isn't great, but we'll definitely be posting the HD versions as soon as they arrive! Killer Instinct Season 2 Omen Trailer, Golem Teaser

Iron Galaxy Studios has posted the official trailer for Season 2's new "bonus" character, Omen. The new trailer takes a darker, more sinister approach than previous trailers, showing off some of what Omen can do in the game. Once again, players who picked up the KI Season 2 pack will receive Omen for free. I guess everyone else who plays KI will just have to learn how to fight against him. At the end of the trailer, upcoming Season 2 character, Golem, is teased.

DOA5: Last Round 20-Minute Video Preview

Koei Tecmo Europe posted a 20-minute preview video for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round on Youtube. The new video starts by taking Honoka through Arcade Mode, showing the first raw gameplay footage of the new character. Near the end, some new costumes and hairstyles for other DOA5LR characters are also shown.

New POKKEN Tournament Details & Characters, Arcade Fightpad Shown, Pikachu Has Mishima Moves

TEKKEN creator Katsuhiro Harada showed new Pokken Tournament footage on stream this morning, revealing many new details. For starters, the arcade cabinet will feature sleek, wired fightpad controllers. 3 new characters have been confirmed, including Pikachu, who has several moves & animations inspired by TEKKEN's Kazuya & Heihachi Mishima! Additionally, "support Pokemon" and "in-game power-ups" are also confirmed.

Korea TV Series TEKKEN Crash Returns With Tekken 7

The TV show based solely on the competitive TEKKEN scene in South Korea is set to return with launch of the arcade version of TEKKEN 7. Details are currently scarce, but one can expect to see the return of top players (including the EVO '14 TTT2 champ, JDCR), hype commentators, and the high quality production value the series is known for. Community Effort Orlando 2015 Games Lineup Announced

Following this week's announcement of EVO 2015's official games list, tournament organizer Alex Jebailey has revealed the official tournaments for CEO '15! As expected, the list is very similar to EVO 15's, featuring: USF4, UMVC3, GGXrd, MKX, KI, P4AU, Smash Wii U & Melee... plus TTT2 & Divekick! King of Fighters '94: Re-Bout Now Available on Playstation Network in Japan & Hong Kong

Two weeks ago, we reported that KOF '94: Re-bout is coming to PSN. Oftentimes re-releases like these became available rather quickly after they're announced, as is the case with KOF '94: Re-bout, which is now available on PSN in Japan & Hong Kong! The title costs 1000 yen ($8.45 USD) in Japan. Hong Kong's PSN has it priced a little higher at $70 HKD ($9.03). There's still no word about a release in other regions, but to digitally import, all you need is a Japan PSN account & PSN card.

First Look At Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma Extend's New Story Characters, Mai & Cajun

Along with adding Celica A. Mercury and Lamba-11 from the arcade version to the playable cast, the upcoming console update to Blazblue: ChronoPhantasma will feature 2 new characters in the game's story mode. Mai Natsume & Cajun Faycott are protagonists from the BlazBlue: Remix Heart manga. Famitsu reported that elements from BB:CP Extend's story will also be taken from the manga. Yoshinori Ono Confirms Dimps Involvement With Street Fighter 5 Development in Polygon Interview

Polygon.com had a recent interview with Capcom's Yoshinori Ono, titled "The Road to Street Fighter V". The interview begins with some backstory surrounding the revival of the series with SF4 and its many expansions. It's stated that about a year and a half ago, Ono began putting together a plan for SF5, resulting in Ono working once again with developer Dimps (SF4, SFXT). Evolution 2015 Games Lineup Announced

The official games for the world's biggest fighting game tournament have been announced over at SRK. EVO 2015 will host tournaments for: TEKKEN 7 (arcade), Ultra SF4, Ultimate MVC3, Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, Mortal Kombat X, Killer Instinct, P4A: Ultimax, Smash Bros. Melee & Smash Bros. 4. The big surprise this year is the arcade version of TEKKEN 7 appearing at EVO. MarkMan stated that Namco plans to bring a playable version of T7 to several events this year.

KI Season 2 Omen Gameplay Reveal, Remaining 4 Characters Are: Cinder, ARIA, Golem & Ghost

Iron Galaxy Studios posted their stream archive to Youtube which reveals the first gameplay footage of the herald of Gargos, Omen. Omen will not be getting his own in-game story, but it was explained that Omen absorbed enough power through Shadow Jago to finally break away into his own character in Season 2. His moveset takes inspiration from both Jago and Shadow Jago. Finally, Microsoft also revealed the names for the next 4 characters of Season 2...

King of Fighters '94: Re-Bout Coming To Playstation Network As "PS2 Classics" Re-Release

It was reported back in November that KOF XI, KOF '98: UM and Samurai Shodown VI were coming to PS3 as "PS2 Classics". The Japan exclusive KOF '94: Re-bout is set to receive the same treatment, which is pretty big news considering the game was only ever released in Japan for PS2. Ultra Street Fighter IV on Playstation 4 Will Include Vacation & Wild Costumes, Omega Mode

When the PS4 version of Ultra Street Fighter 4 was first announced, it was advertised that "all costume DLC" would be available from the start. However, the first trailer for the PS4 version didn't actually show any costumes from the latest "Vacation" and "Wild" DLC packs, leaving fans wondering. However, PS.Blog confirmed today that indeed both the Vacation & Wild DLC costume packs will be included in the PS4 version, in addition to Omega Mode.

MKX "Prequel" Comic Book Now Available Online, First Print Coming Jan. 14th, New Preview Images

The first issue of the official MKX comic is now available for purchase online over at DC Comics & Amazon. Authored by Shawn Kittelsen and illustrated by Dexter Soy, this book will reveal exactly what happens between MK9 and MKX. The first print issue of the comic will be made available on Jan. 14th, with each issue containing 3 digital chapters. TEKKEN 7 Implementing New Option That Allows Both Players To Start on The Same Side

Producer Katsuhiro Harada announced on Twitter today that TEKKEN 7 will debut an innovative new option which allows both players to start a match on the same side of the screen. This is done quite simply actually, as the camera will simply rotate 180 degrees on one side (for one of the players), showing the opposite side of the stage. Harada released this image, previewing this new option. (P.S. The bottom left set of screenshots in the image also shows a brand new stage!)

Omen, The Herald of Gargos, Confirmed For KI

Adam Isgreen, creative director at Microsoft Studios, posted a teaser image of "Omen" on the Ultra-Combo forums. "The herald of Gargos" will be a bonus character for Season 2, meaning he's not actually part of the 8 that were planned for the season. Check out the official post over at the Ultra-Combo forums to read up on Omen's storyline, moveset, and some Q&A's. Next week, Omen will be shown on Microsoft's stream, and his trailer will debut the week after.

Kung Lao Returns in Mortal Kombat X, Gets a New Face

Finnish gaming magazine "Pelaaja" has spilled the beans on Kung Lao's appearance in Mortal Kombat X. The latest issue (officially releasing tomorrow) shows a few screenshots of Kung Lao in MKX. The prequel, MK9, had Kung Lao die in the story mode... so could this be a "new" Kung Lao we're seeing in MKX? (Considering MK lore, this wouldn't at all be surprising). Also notice that Kung Lao's face in MKX looks completely different from MK9's.
