One of G Corporation's weapons divisions entered their latest biological weapon, Gigas, into the King of Iron Fist Tournament for two reasons: first, to pit the strength of their next-gen humanoid weapon against a similar weapon of G Corp's; and second, to provoke Heihachi Mishima. Ironically, the first battle was staged on the rooftop of G Corp's own Millennium Tower, possibly in retaliation for their affront to Heihachi. Unmoved by the striking beauty of the skyscraper, Gigas awaited his victim. However, Gigas appears to retain a little of his humanity whenever he sees Katarina without her sunglasses. Turns out, he is actually Katarina's missing step-father.

His nationality is listed as "DATA DELETED" and his fighting style is known as "DESTRUCTIVE IMPULSE". Visually, Gigas takes some inspiration from Gantz's "Hard Suit"... and possibly DC's Bane

At first, I wasn't too impressed with Gigas. As a suggested "replacement" for Marduk, Gigas was scary. I happen like Marduk in my Tekken. The thought of this monster replacing badass Vale Tudo & ground grappling in Tekken? Scary. (Gigas is a scary monster. Makes sense.) That said, Marduk's late arrival in T7 S3 was great news. I forgive you Gigas. Now that Marduk is in T7, Gigas is a character that Marduk-users can easily enjoy using (as there are comparable aspects to their moveset / combo system). That's actually good design for a fighting game, because it's good for players to enjoy using more than 1 character. ;)

Visually, Gigas has screen presence (he nearly takes up the whole screen). I enjoy his Juggernaut-like moves & proportions. (Back in the late 90's / early 00's, a FG character anywhere near the size of Gigas would've SLOWED DOWN the entire game. LOL) Gigas competes with Abigail for the "biggest FG character who takes up most of the screen" bragging rights. On the downside, his story element is weak. (I was hoping for a tie-in with Dragunov's T5DR ending). If Namco actually developed his story, Gigas would have more potential. Even so, he's an entertaining & fun character in the game. FUN FACT: One of Gigas's legs is the size of an entire character from Injustice 2. (Gigas to Injustice 2 characters: "Do you even lift, bros? My ass is bigger than your entire InjustAss stick-figure roster.")
