The Flash

BIO:

The Flash is a name shared by several heroes from the DC Comics universe. The original flash was created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert, and first appeared in Flash Comics #1 (1940). The Flash possesses the ability of "super-speed," which allows him to run and move extremely fast, use superhuman reflexes, and seemingly violate certain laws of physics. Thus far, four different characters, each of whom somehow gained the power of "super-speed", have assumed the identity of the Flash: Jay Garrick (1940-), Barry Allen (1956-1986, 2008-), Wally West (1986-2006, 2007-), and Bart Allen (2006-2007).

A legendary hero. World famous. He can run really fast..... I dunno. I grew up with comics but I never cared about The Flash. Following suit with the rest of the cast, Flash's fighting game debut in Justice League Task: Force on SNES was booooring. He fell into obscurity and me (as a fighting game player and Marvel) pretty much forgot about his existence for years. Many years later, Flash returned to the genre in Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe... making a "not bad" but "still not good" fighting game appearance. Finally, Flash got the fighting game incarnation he deserved in NetherRealm's Injustice series... definitely one of the best appearances of the character to date.

I still don't care too much about The Flash. His look and gimmick is tired, no matter how many spin-offs they try to make. Not to sound like a total fanboy... but I think Quicksilver is a more interesting and aesthetic character. In fairness, Flash is a classic superhero. In some artwork, he looks cool. But I'm sure he seemed a lot cooler in 1940... lol.
