Makoto is a Military Academy classmate and one of Noel's best friends. She is quite hyperactive and has a short attention span, though she has proven to be rather cunning when she needs to be. She is outgoing, adventurous, and has inhuman reflexes as well incredible strength, able to make an impact crater in Carl's storyline and her Astral Heat involves her punching an opponent skyward, leaving an imprint of her fist in the moon before it splits apart. She has a few complexes about her race, but nonetheless, acknowledges who she is and is proud of it.

In BlazBlue Continuum Shift, Makoto works for The NOL Intelligence Department with Hazama, but is actually a spy for Sector Seven. In the True Ending, she defects from the NOL after finding out what happened and leaves with Noel and Iron Tager. She went to the NOL academy with Jin, Carl, Noel, and Tsubaki.

Cool... Chipmunk-Girl! Chipmunks are awesome. Anywho, Makoto is yet another "animal-inspired" fighting game girl to add to the long list. In case you lost track somewhere, we have a cat-girl, bat-girl, bunny-girl, bee-girl, dog-girl, (probably more I'm forgetting), and now... chipmunk-girl (or squirrel-girl if you prefer). Everyone seems to say she's a squirrel, but she has the markings of a chipmunk on her tail... and I know a true northern chipmunk when I see one, so I'm going with chipmunk.

Makoto's overall design is pretty ho..., even though she blatantly dresses like a stripper. Yeah, even coming from a guy who loves girls... I have to say she's a bit too oversexualized. Looks like she really lets herself go outside of that school uniform... lol. Remember boys, you gotta watch out for girls like that. :/ Anyhow, her over-sexualization doesn't really "ruin" the design. Makoto's fighting style and animations are definitely pretty cool, and I like the fact that she throws actual punches - which is something that not all BlazBlue characters do. You also gotta love the way she uses her tail when she fights... clever stuff from Aksys as usual.
