How could one not
like Wolverine? He's everyone's favorite
badass superhero in yellow spandex! Every Marvel/X-Men fan has a special
place in their heart for good old Wolvie. In my opinion, he's the best kind of superhero. The Antihero. Sometimes he does "bad things"... but for a good reason... and for the greater good. Due to his intriguing, emotional
storyline and badass persona, Logan became one of the most iconic Marvel characters in
existence. One of my personal favorite traits about Wolverine is that he isn't afraid to take it to the bad guys like a
bad guy. He makes so many other superheroes look soft.
Wolverine's fighting game debut in X-Men: COTA was BRILLIANTLY done by
Capcom. They even managed to get Wolverine's original voice actor from the X-Men animated
TV series (Cathal Dodd), which really made his translation perfect. If you ask me, there is no other Wolverine voice
actor... Cathal Dodd is Wolverine. Capcom's artists were spot on with their 2D animation
for him, easily making their version of Wolverine the BEST in any video game. Period. (Still to this day). Wolverine's appearance in MVC3 is pretty
cool, although, a few of his animations didn't translate that well into 3D. I still prefer Wolvie's classic 2D sprite any day of the week.
