BIO:

Sasquatch is the most noble of his tribe of Bigfoot that live deep in the Rocky Mountains of Canada. When he sensed the powers of the monster Pyron, he set out to find out what it was. After returning to his village, he finds members of his village have disappeared. In the center of his village was a huge hole. Determined that his fellow villagers have been pulled into trouble, Sasquatch jumped into the hole to help them. In the end, he found out that his fellow Bigfoot went willingly because Jedah offered them lots of bananas.

SQUATCH! I like the sound of the word, SQUATCH. Anyhow, Sasquatch from Darkstalkers is one of the more "humorous" horror stereotypes from the series. Capcom decided to make their version of bigfoot (or yeti) more of a comic relief character than something scary... and I think he turned out to be a really clever design. I didn't like him much at first, but seeing him animate on that arcade machine in the mid 90's made a statement. Capcom was still killing it in the animation department. he's a distinguishable design once you get to know him and rounds out the character roster nicely.

They also made him... Cute? (Cuter than Blanka I'd say (sorry Blanka-chan).) That said, this big teddy bear has a lot of charisma and personality shown in his 2D sprite. Sasquatch's exaggerated / bizarre animations and moveset stand out above all else... because he's a fairly simple design otherwise. I think his facial expressions and humorous proportions are the most memorable aspects of his visual design, and he rounds out the Darkstalkers roster nicely. He's decently groomed too (nice hair bro)... gotta give him some bonus points for being cleaner than some humans I've seen.  ^o^
